This works very well. It is incredibly strong, so be careful not to get any of the soap on your hands. One canister lasts months (about 5 loads a day) so you get a lot of use out of it. I am only giving it four stars because it is incredibly expensive, I have not tried similar detergents that cost less, so I don't actually know if it is worth the premium or not, but I find it hard to justify the price solely based on my experience with the detergent.
