Perfect replacement!
Somehow we lost our remote for our Yamaha receiver. I ordered this and it's identical to the one I had for five years. All I did was put batteries in it and everything worked. There was nothing to set up or do to use it. Simple and perfect.

Works with RX-V373
I have an older RX-V373 AV receiver and the remote that came with it had issues with the volume controls like many have stated. The exact same one is no longer available but I was happy to discover this RAV521 remote works perfectly fine with my receiver. Maybe the best thing about it is it's a genuine Yamaha remote rather than an unknown manufacturer. Well worth the 20 bucks.

I bought this as a replacement for the exact same remote when the volume buttons had stopped working well. This works great out of the box and exactly like I would expect!

False advertising?
The remote itself is fine. However, the ad clearly states, “Includes Sony Stamina Plus Batteries with up to 10 year shelf life”. No batteries were included, and I see I’m not the only one this has happened to. If the seller doesn’t bother to provide batteries anymore, Amazon should make them correct their ad. Or send me the batteries they promised.
