I first used these when attending a conference. There are no refills or replacement erasers but one will last a long time, just twist the point to lengthen the lead (or roll back in). Perfect to distribute to a class but I like using it at home.

I swear to God that whatever shock-absorbant tech they put in these pencils is the same they use for off-road Jeeps' wheel axles. I've CRUSHED pencils with my INTENSE FINE MOTOR SKILL GRIP ever since I was a small human. I've been through pretty much every mechanical pencil as a left-handed artist and writer. ALL OF THEM, THE WEAKEST LINK. They PERISH under my grasp. So while it's essentially impossible to replace the graphite in these, it sure is better than breaking the graphite in one of those weaker brands while silently cursing, ergo saving you money in the long run.So basically, if you are a frequent abuser of pencils and struggle with having too much RAW UNMATCHED STRENGTH for most inferior brands, Papermate has you covered here. Especially for humans of the artistic kind.

These pencils ✏️ are very hard to find . Used this one for over forty years! I’m glad I found these on Amazon !

These are inexpensive office mechanical pencils. They are unique in having a spring behind the lead, like a shock absorber. I got the last of the mustard color versions, the newer ones are banana yellow and have a somewhat harder lead. The quality of mechanical drafting pencils is much better, this review is not meant to be in comparison to those.Note, the darker ones in bubble packing are what I'm reviewing here. The others are what the new ones look like.

I used these pencils to balance my checkbook. They are disposal, but the lead in one is as long as the pencil. Mine has lasted over 1 year. The only thing I dislike is the eraser is red and after a few erasures, it becomes dirty. I solve this by putting a white eraser over it. Problem solved.

I have been using these mechanical pencils for years. There are cheaper versions out there but the "lead" they use is terrible. These have a nice dark "lead" so that my writing is clearly visible. Try them!!

These were junk; they didnt compare with the for-sure genuine ones I had on hand; I suspect they may be a knock off or some such. Yellow color is off compared with my current ones, erasers are just junk and the lead appears to be much harder than 2B. Buy them in a store where you can see what you are getting.

These "mechanical" pencils are excellent for always having a "sharp" point. Usually the eraser lasts as long as the lead, so they work out well for me. I usually just pick these up in stores near me, but I have not been able to find them recently. I looked on Amazon and luckily they were in stock and priced about the same as instore purchasing.
