Great replacement battery!
Got the battery and followed the instruction to install the battery. Wasn't too bad. The most difficult part was taking the back case off of the Zune.Once I got it all put back together, I charged the battery it wasn't charging or holding charge at all. When I contacted the support, the staff told me to discharge and fully re-charge about three times. After doing that three times, the battery charges fully and lasts about 30 hours!!!Great replacement battery!

Brought new life into my Zune
This new battery was what my Zune needed to be brought back to life. The install was not exactly enjoyable as getting the casing apart was rough and, unlike pretty much every other device, this battery is soldered in.If you have access to a soldering iron and some experience with it, this install isn't very hard, even for a beginner. How I knew I needed a new battery (for anybody else wondering):When I tried to charge the Zune, a faint image of a battery with a lightning bolt would show, but even after leaving the device charging for a full day, it still would not turn on.

Does not charge whatsoever.
Pried the case open, which is a bit of a trial in and of itself, soldered in the new battery. All I can say so far is, at least the old one held just enough charge to power on for 2-3 seconds. All I get now is an extremely faint charging symbol.Got the new battery in, left it on the charger for 24 hours (yes, I've checked the charger, it works fine on my other Zune). Tried to power on, no dice. Did some research, found a few people had issues where they had to swap the white and blue wires (I'm assuming, thermistor and some other sensor), so I tried that as well. 24 hours charging later, still nothing but the faint charging icon.On the one hand, I've sent in for a replacement. However, this requires sending it back "in its original packaging" (which, for the record, was a small, white cardstock box with no markings) and waiting almost a week for the replacement.Nearly a week to get here, three days of testing to find out it doesn't charge, and now nearly another week, hopefully one that works this time. Maybe I'll look into some kind of alternate power source if it fails, too.[Edit:] Second battery, same problems.

So grateful for these
I just installed one in my Zune 120gb and I'm beyond thrilled to say that the hardest work really was just opening the case. (Hint: There's clips inside the top half of the case's plate, more often than you'd think. This thing is designed like a TANK.)The battery needs to be hot-swapped, but it's cheap to get a soldering tool and solder. I took off the old battery and soldered in the new one- black, red, white, and blue cords. Immediately, my Zune started to charge.ALL HAIL THIS VENDOR. They made the difference between trash and a functional device by providing me with this battery. The relief is REAL.

Works great
Direct fit, had to return the first one since it was faulty. The replacement worked like a charm, so happy woth this product, if it doesn't power on within 10 minutes by itself, get a replacement.

Great replacement battery if you have a some experience with small electronic repair
This battery worked great in reviving my old Zune 80gb that has been sitting in a box since 2013 but the install was pretty far from ideal. You will need a soldering iron preferably a decent one with a fine tip on it (required), Case opening tools (thick guitar pick will probably work in a pinch) and a good bit on patience. Take the time to carefully peel the aluminum tape so you can reuse it (lightly heating it with a hair dryer can help loosen the glue) and take special care to note of how the wires are connected originally (take a picture(s) if needed). Best of luck to anyone attempting this repair, just be patient and walk away if you get mad (yes the case IS that hard to get apart).

Battery does not hold the charge.
Purchased the battery to replace for my ZUNE 120GB. Once it is charged and unplugged from the charger it does not hold the charge even if the device is in DEEP SLEEP mode. Three-four hours and the battery is discharged being not operational.

Not Holding a Charge Long Enough
I bought this to replace the battery on a Zune 80GB 2nd Gen. The replacement process was relatively easy enough even for amateur electricians, but after charging the battery completely it hasn't held a charge for more than a few hours even without playback of audio or video. I'm going to try to cycle it a few more times to see if that improves it, but otherwise disappointed that it's not staying charged long enough.
