Q: Is the top sturdy enough to use as a table while eating?

No, I don’t think so. The basket walls are collapsible. If the basket is empty, the whole thing is flat as a pancake. Great for storage, bad if you are trying to use it as a table. If you stuff the basket full and close the lid, you may be able to put some stuff on it... maybe. But, there’s a high probably anything you put on it will fall if the walls collapse.

The inner dimensions are about 16" x 9.5" x 10" (L x W x H ).

Q: How long will ice stay frozen?

Hi We use it to Bring Food Home [Fish etc from stores] or go on picnics. I guess the longest our ice cubes [in plastic bags] have had to stay frozen so far has been 6 to 7 hours
