Worth the paper
Great price, great sound, easily tuneable. I advise putting new strings on though.

Amazing quality for price
Seemed too good to be true, bit it is. Solid Mahogany Baritone Ukulele. Not a fan of the Aquila strings, but they can be easily replaced. Otherwise, great projection; no flaws that I can see. Gig bag, truss rod, strap, included electrics with an OK tuner. Amazing quality for price. Thought I'd try this before popping for a Kanilea. Saved nearly 3 grand.

Excellent!
Reviewing SOLID-mahogany Caramel BARITONE uke: Nice little instrument, a joy to play. Excellent neck - I did not have to do any fretwork (frets were smooth with no high spots or other problems), playable right out of the box (just tune it up and start playing). Good intonation - notes are the correct pitch when fretted. Super smooth tuning pegs that work great. The tone/sound is pretty nice as well (I was really surprised at this), and it's loud enough to be heard in a jam. I'm mostly playing acoustic, but the built-in pickup works good too (with Roland micro cube amp that I already had). Extremely pleased with this purchase, as it's not very often that something is better that I thought it would be. The lightweight gig bag seems to be well-made too, and durable (zippers still work, seams are all still good).

Good Rig for the Price
This is a SOLID Baritone Ukulele. A great starting instrument for the newbie. A really good buy for the money. The ukulele comes with guitar tuning D G B A, the lower 4 strings to a 6 string guitar. A baritone is a great stepping stone to a steel 6 string full size 41" guitarThe tuners are decent. They will stay in tune fairly well. The tuners don't have that extremely cheap feel to them like on other low cost ukes. The 1st 5 frets have enough room for large hand and fingers. It has a classical style straight wood bracing and puts out a classical tone.A large sound erupts from this smallish ukulele. The sound is well balanced.Want more VOLUME? Plug this baby into an amplifier rock out the hood.Comes with a bag full of accessories including an amplifier 1/4" jack, extra strings, strap,...Cons: The tops edges are really sharp. I used very light sandpaper and to round the edge. Binding would be a good idea. The tuner has no automatic shut off and will drains the batteries. The tuner's batteries are underpowered and they last only a couple weeks. Get rechargeable(lithium ion) CR2032 batteries and charger. The lower frets get tiny real fast. It is hard to put a large hand in a tiny fret.

Update review
This is an update to my original rating for this instrument. I was ask by Alexa to rate it and I being caught off guard said four stars. Well I want to clarify why I only gave four stars. It was because when I received the instrument the action was set to high. This was because someone receiving this instrument with no experience might have found it hard to play. My being a guitar player for 60 + years and in all honesty seldom bought a new guitar that I didn't need to adjust the action. Of course I adjusted the action of this uke. That being said I am giving this instrument an upgrade to 5 stars because in all fairness it is a very well constructed instrument and is well worth the cost. Also the electronics with an internal electronic tuner works well. You may wish to have the action adjusted if you find it not to your satisfaction, that may be just a matter of taste. If you can't do this yourself you can usually find someone in your area that is a guitar player or has a shop who can help you. It is not a major issue.

With A Little TLC You Can Make This Good Uke Great
The instrument arrived dry as a bone, the first thing I did was apply Ax Wax to the entire body and fretboard, giving the uke a nice sheen as seen in the product photos. This is my second Caramel ukulele, and like the zebra wood uke I first received, I just wasn't crazy about the tone of DGBE tuning so I opted to restring with the included GCEA strings, but I saved the wound G and used it instead of the high G. I'm very happy with the tone now, it really edges out my zebra wood baritone that I paid $20 more for. I thought I'd want a gloss uke but with a little oil rubbed into this mahogany uke it takes on a lovely satin(smooth) vs matte(scratchy) finish. The last thing I did was sand the somewhat sharp edge that was digging into my arm where it rests on the lower bout, I made it nice and smooth with a fine rubber sanding block, I also smoothed out the fretboard edges as well. Lastly, the included accessories are all decent quality, I only wish the strap buttons had been installed at the factory. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and I just might buy the solid acacia baritone in the future just for fun. Thank you, Caramel, for allowing me to feed my gear acquisition syndrome without breaking the bank.

Not all Caramel ukuleles are the same!
I bought a Caramel Tenor 2 weeks ago and I t was ok, so I decided to order a Caramel Baritone and it was 10 time better. From the box, to the gig bag, to the build quality of the ukulele, it was like two different companies make them. I can't believe how nice the Baritone is. I highly recommend it. I wish the Tenor was as nice.
