It works‼️
The battery works in our old garage door opener remote. Except the old battery was square and yours is round and it doesn’t close good now but it works! During this cold weather the door wouldn’t close remotely. Thank you‼️ Merry Christmas‼️😉🎄

Works great!
I couldn’t find this battery anywhere. My rental has an older garage door opener. It wasn’t the exact battery like the one we had but it worked!

It worked for a very old garage door opener
At least this battery worked for a very old garage door opener. Even if it's only a battery you don't find one that does. It's usually to long, to short, to fat or to thin. It was a blessing to see the garage door open after installing the battery.

Great hard to get battery at a reasonable price.
I have an older Simpson multimeter which requires a 22.5 volt battery for the ohmmeter function. I had searched for a replacement and finally found this substitute. It works perfectly. I will keep this site for future reference.

Hard To Find Battery!
I bought this battery for an old automatic garage door opener. The opener didn't work with the original square battery, and it didn't work with this new battery. I don't fault the battery. This is the only place I found this old-style battery 505/221A 22.5 Volt. It might be important to some to know that the original of this batter was square and long. This one is round. I guess I'd recommend making sure your item does not need the square shape. I don't see why it would make a difference as long as the battery compartment is such that the battery maintains contact with the terminals.

The most important thing to know for me is if this battery would work on my Simpson 160 voltmeter.
The battery seemed to fit and had the right voltage BUT...I did not know whether or not it worked because when i got in deeper to open the meter up, I found lots of problems with it. It must have been dropped because the circuit board was cracked along with other plastic pieces that hold things together. I haven't given up on it but there will be a LOT of work to do to fix it if it is possible. So unfortunately I am not able to give a correct answer on the battery yet.

What I needed
Exactly what I needed for my super old, clunky garage door opener.
