IDEAL Electrical 45-101 V-Notch Wire Stripper, Black

This little fellow is so good I can't do electronics without it.

I've never had wire strippers like these, the design is quite unique.Since it isn't mentioned in the description, the size "dial" can be set to the following AWG sizes:24, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10I mostly work with thinner wires (for electronics), and at least for 22-24 AWG wires these work just great. Probably my new favorite wire strippers.I normally strip thin wires with sharp side cutters, because most wire strippers damage the wire much more than careful use of side cutters. These work similar to stripping wires with side cutters, but cannot damage the wire, as long as you've set the wire size correctly.One minor annoyance is that the "lock" that keeps the strippers in the closed position for storage, only works when the size "dial" is set to the smallest size (24 AWG).

Simple and cheap and works. For finer wire you can just tilt them and it'll strip just as well.

Used these strippers for numerous years and I have yet found anything close that would be better. Very sharp, quality built and holds up after heavy years of use. I cut and strip wire every day all day and I go through about two a year. Very happy and will continue to purchase.

I set it on 22 gauge, I close it around the wire, I turn it a bit and I pull. Perfect cuts every time.

I have used this style of stripper for years. When some fancy but dysfunctional stripper fails these are the reliable standby. Price is a little steep.

Great strippers

The Adjustment cam wheel was damaged right out of the package, I never got a chance to use the wire strippers. Please send me a new pair.
