Excellent value
Very impressed with this baritone uke. It was playable straight out of the box just needing to be tuned. The action was a little high for my preference (4mm) but it’s easy to take down to the 3mm I prefer. A bit of oil on the neck and it’s now setup nicely. The uke plays well and has a nice mellow sound acoustically with reasonable sustain. That will probably improve as it plays in. Plugged in to an amp there was quite a lot of treble but once that was eq’d out it sounds really nice.Excellent value for money. It even comes with batteries supplied for the built in tuner (which is accurate) and pre-amp as well as two spares. The model I received (solid mahogany, natural finish) also looks great with nice grain.Really pleased with this purchase!

Caramel CB 103 Baritone Ukulele in Zebrawood gloss finish
What does sheerness mean? I think this Baritone uke with its DGBE tuning sounds deep and clear acoustically and when plugged into my valve amp. Feels really nice in the hands and seems to be very well finished throughout. The truss rod works, the frets are well finished and the gloss zebrawood body and its subtle bindings are very well done. The tuners are pretty accurate and work well. The neck felt good and the join between neck and body was well done. How to they do it at this price point?

10 out of 10 for this beautiful ukele
Absolutely wonderful! There was a long wait before it arrived but I’m so glad I chose this baritone ukele, as it really is beautifully made and has a great tone. The accessories, bag, strap etc were all great too but I’d recommend getting a separate stand for it too.

Stunning!
The quality is amazing. With stunning extras (top quality gig bag, plectrums, cable for amplifier, spare batteries, spare strings) this is unbelievable value. I’ve been buying guitars, mandolins and ukuleles for 60 years. This is the best I’ve ever bought. The look is fantastic. The sound is the best. Mellow, rich, with great sustain.

Nice Ukulele with great sound
I am reviewing this a few days after purchase and will update later if any problem occurs.I have a number of ukuleles and have been playing for 3+years.I am generally very happy with this ukulele. The finish is good (see below). The sound, tone and sustain are in my opinion excellent with the supplied strings (Aquila). The setup was good as supplied and I found it very easy to play and due to having a truss rod if needed the action can be easily adjusted. The strings hold tune well despite being new and have only needs a little adjustment each day which from past experience is unusual. The tuners are smooth working.Something I was not expecting was the beautiful rounded edges on the body which makes playing very comfortable as I had seen someone comment the edges were sharp.Fitted strap buttons are a bonus and the strap is also a bonus. The electrics work perfectly and it sounds really good when plugged in.The reason I have not given it 5 stars are the case shown on the advert clearly shows a separate accessory pocket on the front, the one I received did not and had a zipped pouch that I feel is a downgrade. I have messaged Amazon however have to date not received a reply.Other minor points are the finish of the wood on the inside of the slotted headstock is a bit rough and I will be sanding it when I come to change the strings, also the tuners are not fitted perfectly in line neither of these affect the playability but with a little more care could have been perfect. Bear in mind for a ukulele at this price these faults are minor and many people probably wouldn't even notice them but I try to give a totally honest review. That said I would be happy to buy another Caramel UkuleleTo summarise I feel the caramel all solid mahogany I received is amazing value with a sound that punches way above its price point and am very happy with it.

A superb instrument at an excellent price
This instrument is well constructed and has some thoughtful nice touches that you don't usually find on a ukulele (like its bridge pins). Its got a gentle action so you don't need to hold the strings in a death grip with your left hand in order for them to sound clearly.Solidly constructed out of good quality wood (mine has no signs of cracking or warping after 3 months of hard use) with good quality fixtures (Machine-head, bridge, saddle, tuner, pickups etc). You would have to search hard to find a better crafted instrument even from the big names. It has a nice tone, very similar to a guitar but lacking a bit of the depth of a guitar (possibly because it also lacks the guitars two bass strings).I have always wanted to try a baritone ukulele and I'm really pleased with this one.

Hight recommended
Arrived next day, good quality, sounds good. The only thing was that it came with DGBE strings fitted and a spare set of the same strings...not spare GCEA as advertised

Beautiful quality instrument for the price
We have purchased several Caramel brand ukes over the years, all have been good value for the price, but our favourites are the all solid mahogany models in tenor and baritone size. These feature a truss rod neck and usually a pin bridge, which is good.Being a Left handed player, I wish that they would reintroduce the pure acoustic all solid wood instruments as these are easy for a left handed player to swap over the strings and play. The EQ electric models are good, but not left handed.
