Prime-Line PL 7800 Screen Frame Kit, 7/16 In. 3/4 In. x 36 In., Mill Finish (1 Kit)

Assembly was pretty simple. Our window had no screen so I had to fit by hand. Dimensions are critical to get a good tight fit. Wish it came in white. I had to spray paint it to match white windows.

We needed a screen for a window we purchased at a second hand shop, this worked just perfect for the project and was so easy to assemble. Now we can open window in shed without have bugs come flying in

They came warped (see photo). Another reviewer reported the same and said it didn't matter, so I went ahead and used them. They turned out good, but I needed a larger concave wheel on the spline tool. The spline wheel tool comes in different sizes. This spline is .180 in. diameter, so get the best tool for your spline. I assumed they were all standard. Wrong! Also be aware there are no pull tabs with this kit.I had to use some improvised tools to work in the spline. The first pass I carefully used the tiny concave wheel, but to prevent cutting the screen had to finish with a blunt flat blade screwdriver. Brutally slow but effective.Be aware that the ends are sharp. Mine had curled metal shavings that could have drawn blood. I was lucky not to get cut. Also, about that warp...seems the manufacturer allows gravity to bend the metal before cutting into shorter lengths. The screen stop on your window/door make this a non-issue, but for me it was quite troubling. You wont notice after you assemble the screen.Oh yeah...heed the instructions. Especially the part that says subtract 1/8 inch from both your height and width measurements. I was confident in my measurements but sure wish I had cut that extra 1/8 in. Very tight fit.

I actually had fun making these screens. It's so easy to make. Just make sure you get the grooved rolly tool that helps you get the rubber line down.. it looks like a pizza cutter.Oh and when you are cutting the frame with a hacksaw pull out the rubber line first that way you have more to work with. 😊

Although it's a perfect fit after cutting to size, it's missing the tension spring which I needed to purchase separately.

I would have given it a 5 star if the product would have been delivered straight and not bent. Outer box looked ok and packing inside was a little lacking but nothing that I would think cause the damage. I did not realize they were bent until I opened the manufactures packaging. I ended up using them even though they didn't lay flat but when installed it doesn't seem to matter. Product other wise is easy to use work with and directions are clear and precise. Final product looks good even though some pieces were bent. Can be done without the screen tool but it does make it quicker. I order 1ea initially and used a butter knife to set the screen Picture is the worst out of 4 total that I ordered.

Hard to find in my area in this thickness.The only minor complaint is that it isn't white.Worked like a champ.

Met my needs and seems durable.
