Rain Bird TBOSPSOL TBOS Potted Latching Solenoid

The Home Depot Rain Bird sprinkler valve will not work with a Hunter Node 200 controller. This solenoid is used to replace the solenoid that comes on the Rain Bird valve. This is literally a 5 minute job, simply turn your water supply off, unscrew Rain Bird solenoid with the two black and white wires and replace this solenoid with The red and black wire, connect red to red and black to white and voila it will work perfectly. This is a very inexpensive solution if you did as I did and replaced a Hunter valve with a Rain Bird valve and you ASSUMED it would work with a Hunter Node Controller.

This solenoid fits the valves specified on Amazon. However some of these valves may have been retrofitted with adapters to accommodate other solenoids with smaller male attachments. These adapters can be removed with a 1 1/4 socket prior to installing the Rain Bird TBOSPSOL TBOS Potted Latching Solenoid.

It was very easy to install. I has been a month since I installed. And working as expected

I replaced my AC coils with these and was able to put a battery powered controller in place, no power lines to run. They work great. Make sure to get them synchronized using the controller.

Works as expected, takes 1 minute to turn off the water, release the pressure from the valve, unscrew the old one, screw this one in, turn the water back on and you're in business. Note that this is the 9v DC latching solenoid for battery operated controllers (like the Hunter Node controller).
