Pretty awesome product. Seems to hold most of the litter, can shake it or sweep it off. Previously used double layer with honeycomb top that seemed way more difficult to clean. Very lightweight, design is cute my cats approve >^..^>

The media could not be loaded. Bought this to put in my finished “cat bathroom.” I’m kind of a clean freak and I want to mitigate as much dust and tracking as possible. I finished my “cat bathroom” in my old linen cabinet with a drawer to pull out for easy cleaning - the babies can get in via a cat door. My concern was possible stray litter bouncing onto the wood and floating cat litter dust getting into the paint/wood over time and permeate urine smell. I used semi-gloss paint and caulked all corners and cracks to make wiping down easier and have no escape for dust. I took it a step further, and bought these mats.What stood out for me was that they were thin (but not too thin), washable, sturdy, and I could custom cut them to size. The bottom side is like a rubber material, top is carpet type with the neat design. I used a basic utility knife to score and scissors to cut the carpet material part. Let me tell you, it’s strong! Works exactly as described, and I also like that they’re made in the USA.Hope that helps someone!

I’ve purchased this mat twice now, and it’s been a great solution for tracking my cat’s litter. While it doesn’t trap all of the litter, it does a great job of keeping most of it off my carpet. It’s super easy to wrap up and dump any remaining litter into the garbage, making cleanup a breeze. I also love that I was able to cut it to perfectly fit my space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a practical and versatile litter mat!

This mat does NOT collect litter. I have changed nothing but the mat and have litter everywhere! Sure, it’s nice and big - but it’s flat with no texture - very cheap and does not do what it’s supposed to!

This Drymate Litter Mat doesn’t actually 'trap' litter. Litter may wipe off your cats' feet as they walk out of the litter box, but it would have come off on the floor as well. At least when it accumulates on the mat, you can roll it up and pour or shake it back into the box. It’s not easy to vacuum as it’s so light it gets sucked up by all attachments. I haven’t tried machine washing it in the 2+ years that I’ve been using it, but it spot cleans well, and the backing is waterproof (my cat vomited on it a couple of times). This mat also lacks a nonskid backing, so it slides around unless you weigh it down with the open end of the litter box.As I’m writing all these negative things, I realize that it costs too much for what it is. It would work better as a pet place mat, but not at this size or price point.I recently bought a 2nd litter box for my cats and I’m not going to buy another litter mat from Drymate. Instead, I ordered a nonskid microfiber litter mat that looks more like a small shag rug - I’m sure that it’ll catch litter, we’ll just have to see whether or not I’ll be able to shake it back into the box.

I tried other products before and they all work to collect the kitty litters, but the problem with them was the clean up when the cats throw up or have diarrhea (sorry for being yucky) on it. The clean up is not so easy unless you hose it down. This mat I can do a quick clean because the surface is flat and then I just throw it in the washer. I used to use puppy potty training pads on the top of the kitty litter mat, but now I have 2 of your mat so that if one gets dirty, I use the 2nd mat while I wash the other in the washer. It’s so sanitary and love the eco friendliness.

Washed by itself in a washer with no agitator in cold water and the backing came off. It isn't very good at trapping litter either, but I mostly had it under the boxes to protect the floor from anything that got over the edge. It was good for that purpose once; without the backing it's just a rug now.

This litter mat/rug does the job, but the description is misleading. It’s not “urine proof.” It’s a thin mat with a sheet of plastic(?) tarp(?) (not sure what to call it) on the back. While that does effectively stop urine getting to the floor, the mat still has to be washed with a sanitizer or enzyme cleaner to remove any uterine.And once it’s washed, the plastic sheet detaches and then you have two parts you have to deal with. I even tried gluing it back together but they came apart right away when washed.Save your money. Buy a thin rug and put some plastic under it.
