Buy batteries in original packaging only
Batteries were shipped loose in a plastic bag and appear used or damaged - the batteries became very hot when charging in a Panasonic BQ-CC55 charger intended for Eneloop batteries. I haven't seen this with the other Eneloop AA batteries I already have. This is a good brand of battery, but don't buy them from sellers that take them out of the factory packaging.

I was using fully charged name brand rechargeable batteries in my cable box remote control and it was slow acting to change channels etc.Last week I switched over to eneloop batteries and the remote control is very responsive now.
