Star Wars 2012 Vintage Millenium Falcon Exclusive

I have been waiting for this toy since I was 5!!! Empire Strikes Back came out in 1980 and I was only 2 but by the time I saw it I was 5 and had finally saw A New Hope and my love of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy was kindled. This item arrived on my 35th birthday and I couldn't be more excited!!! This toy is massive and is not just a ship but also a playset. I would recommend it to anybody that loves Star Wars and especially the Millennium Falcon. When I opened it my kids went wow and asked when they could play with it and I said when they were 35!!! The sound effects are spot on and the lighting makes for a really cool feature. If you get this for that little Star Wars fan in your life than be prepared for things to get broken. It is a pretty solid toy but I can see where a younger owner could break some stuff. As an adult collector though this item will stand up just fine. In closing what an awesome collectable!!!

This thing is huge! My 1980s childhood falcon is dwarfed in comparison. The level of detail is mind blowing. Essentially the Vintage Collection Falcon is identical to the previously released Legacy collection Falcon. The paint schemes may differ slightly but that's it. This is the ultimate Millennium Falcon, there is no doubt. To date there are no other attempts to create a toy out of the iconic outlaw ship that can compare to the Vintage Collection edition.

The toy has many real sounds found in the movie. My son plays with it every day, and he does not get bored. He loves the hidden compartments also.

* This is the biggest doll house I have ever seen. This is my definition of HUGE.* It weights about 5 kilograms and is 78 cm long.* It is a biggest version than the one from the 1980s.* In the 1980s Falcon, the interor was more a reflection of the exterior with decals to decorate walls.* This new version is bigger and details are actually sculpted to be more movie accurate within the possibilities the new size allows.* I only miss Lando-vator that was replaced by a removable pod/small ship. Not sure if this belongs to the expanded universe or if it is a feature for kids, but certainly it is not a movie accurate detail.* To me it is clear that they wanted to make a more movie accurate version and the biggest size is the result of trying to fit details inside. For example, the old one has a seat for 2 action figures and the new one has seats for 4 people.* Unlike the old version, gear is not retractable. You must snap fit the legs that may not withstand if you push from the side. My bet is they thought it is better a gear that detaches, instead of breaking, as it is so massive that pushing from the side would easily break a retractable gear. This may be an annoyance for kids, but I can't imagine kids paying $500 for a toy.* This is not a toy for kids to go and fly around. Too heavy for that. It is more a playset to have the ship landed, hence no retractable gear needed.* This toy is where art and engeneering overlap.* Price $500 looks a bit of rip off. When I bought it in 2012 it used to cost $150 here at Amazon. US inflation perhaps? Star Wars reseller speculation CPI? One less star for the price.

All the fun of the original while adding tons of content for the new generation

I purchased this for my then 2 year old son when it came out — mainly because I wanted one when I was a kid and I never got one myself. I waited to give this to him when he turned 6 and was old enough to appreciate it. Those 4 years showed the greatest restraint I ever had in my life. This was all that I could have ever hoped for. It is truly one for any serious collector but it’s definitely meant to be played with as well. It’s sturdy — sturdy enough that my 40 something year old male friends that come over to specifically play with it in the guise of watching my kid don’t ruin it. It is worth every penny.

I own this ship. bought it many years ago. although it doesn't work anymore when it did it was just awesome. what am I saying? it still is awesome! best ship in the line if you love the classic feel . if you want to play with it inside just take off the two panels and go crazy! you won't find a better one.
