A wonderful decadent (because it is expense) treat! As marzipan goes, Niederegger is the best unless you want to make it yourself and that is a lot of work.

Not too sweet, really good quality. Just right on taste. Better than other brands I've tried. That's all I have to say.

No filler, no almond extracts.Lower quality Marzipans need that since they have a lower concentration of almonds.With WWII, the Cafe Niederegger in Lubeck, Germany was destroyed: 1942 "The café was destroyed by bombing and the company's archives went up in flames."Thankfully, the cafe was rebuilt & this fine Marzipan is still available. I have had this product before and loved it. Even though these bars had a "sell by 12/2013 date", the choc tastes a little old. I recently had this same chocolate from World Market and it was much better.

We have enjoyed these bars (from Cost Plus World Market) for some time now. Nothing comes close to the high quality taste of this brand. Most marzipan has a sharp sugar taste which overpowers the chocolate blend. This is the only brand that I've come across with such a great taste. Six bars at this expense is not for everyone, try one out from Cost Plus, at a little higher price, and decide for yourself.

I had been a fan foremost of the potatoes, then of the breads. But these bars are even better, I think, a better value. Niederegger makes the most superb marzipan on earth, so why even hesitate? Well, it was a new format to us, but we both have decided this is the best way to ration==if one must==the marzipan intake. Enjoy. The best ever.

The chocolate was very good, although the marzipan seemed a little dry in some of the bars that I received. On the whole, I would consider ordering again if the bars were a little more fresh.

Look. It may sound hyperbolic, but these are literally the best marzipan bars in the whole of the world. Possibly the universe. Creamy milk chocolate, creamy marzipan .. definitely recommend.
