Excellent "Aleppo" soap
This soap works to minimize or eliminate my dry skin areas on forehead and scalp, it also does excellent duty as a shampoo bar, leaving hair soft, clean and in no way dried out.Even if you don't need it for its therapeutic properties, it's an excellent all-purpose bath & body soap. While it doesn't actually lather very well, it's slick enough that it can also be used for wet shaving, the face feel and results fall somewhere between more traditional shaving soaps and something like Cremo, results are excellent as far as closeness and comfort, but the scent is lackluster and the thin lather doesn't rinse easily, so it's best used in or before a shower. The scent is mostly olive oil (but oxidized, not like fresh EVOO), despite a large portion of Laurel. It's an earthy, natural scent, not at all perfumed. This is a plus for me, others might not like it.While some Aleppo type olive oil soaps I've purchased in the past have had more of an overt Laurel odor, none have actually worked any better than this soap and several have been more prone to drying hair. This one feels like it's "superfatted", but not at all greasy. It seems like most "Aleppo" soaps are coming from Turkey these days, but the product I received was similar in all ways to soaps I bought long ago that actually came from Syria. The same soap making traditions are likely followed throughout the region.

Best soap ever!
Arrived on time, in perfect shape. These bars are big, a strange greenish brownish color and last for months. I use it on face, hair and body. Leaves u squeaky clean and yet soft and moisturized. The scent does not linger on your body, but I like it, very earthy, woodsy, natural. My Chihuahua is now getting an Aleppo bath for her red, dry itchy skin and is doing wonderful. trick is to let the soap set on her skin for a bit. This soap has a historical background to it, watch a documentary on it sometime, it's amazing that they still do it this way but I'm glad.It has helped my dry skin, I rarely use lotion now. Hair is so soft and shiny--I don't see a change in my future!

Very Good and Earthy Olive Oil Soap
I have used Greek olive oil soap for years and I love it because it's easy on my face, lathers well, and has a very earthy, natural scent. I shave in the shower, and it works great for getting a smooth shave. These from Aleppo are large blocks of soap and appear rustic and homemade, suitable for big-handed, manly men like myself. They last a long time - I'm still on the first one after six months. I would definitely but these soaps again.

Good, but...
The soap does have a peculiar scent to it. It doesn't linger on the body though. I use it on hair and body and it seems to clean very well and doesn't leave my hair feeling dry. For my dry skin, I needed to apply moisturizer after I shower as I could tell if I didn't it would become an issue. I knew this soap was not advertized as being suitable for dry skin but wanted to try it anyway due to the olive oil content. The soap seems like it will last a while as well. It gives the impression of quality.Overall, I am pleased with this soap at this pricepoint. Not sure if its for me, but have no regrets about purchasing it.

We all float down here
The media could not be loaded. Althought I read a lot about Aleppo soap's properties, I always thought that the fact that a bar of soap could float on water sounded like a myth to me: Also, I was afraid about the authenticity of this particular item, because Syria is so far away and the price was reasonable, not too cheap, nor that expensive either. So, when I received the package, the first thing I did was put one of the bars in water, and it was true; it floated!Regarding the sensation I felt while cleaning my face, the experience was delightful. The smell is neutral and clean, with hints of olive oil, and the texture is firm, but gentle. My skin feels so radiant since I've been using this soap! Also, I used it to clean a burn on my hand and the injury is almost completely healed. If you are doubtful about this Aleppo soap, don't hesitate and buy it. You'll never regret it,

Excecellent moisturizing soap
Excecellent moisturizing soap. It did have a strong odor the first couple of times we used it. But we kept using it because our skin felt so much smoother and softer.I don't know where the strong odor comes from but it dissipates. And it's worth getting used to. It's amazing how much it moisturizes. The difference was immediately noticeable. It's worth trying. It lasts a fairly long time, too.

Smells Funky
I do not care for the smell as it’s a bit funky and earthy smelling and does not lather much. It does moisturize and hoping it will help my sensitive skin.
