Love it
I purchased 2 of these to add spare tires under my brand new travel trailer. The trailer originally had the single spare on the rear bumper but since I plan to haul small items I didn't want anything on the rear bumper. I purchase these and a second spare to put them under the trailer instead. It took some time to figure out how to install these under the trailer but once I did I love it. These things work great for raising and lowering the tire without me having to get on the ground or under the trailer. I purchased Lippert 119226 Fifth Wheel Landing Gear Manual Crank Handle to use with the winch for lowering or raising the tires. Overall these things are great and are definitely a space saver by putting the tires underneath. Time will tell regarding durability but so far so good. I would definitely recommend purchasing for anyone looking to move a spare tire underneath.

Nice sturdy winch.
So far so good. Used to relocate my spare tire of my travel trailer to the belly of our camper. Seems very solid and well built.

Wish my RV had a different one.
Replaced the broken one on my RV. The cable had retracted too far and binded up internally. The housing broke when trying to extend the tire. For an "emegency" to have actually happened would have been a nightmare. I was only filling up the air for the tire and it took me way longer to get the tire out than needed. I replaced the broken one with this because it was the same one. I'm now a bit more careful about using this on my RV. For a part like this that is used maybe never it's fine, but sure was frustrating.

Easy installation.
I needed a spare tire holder for my 1970 Airstream rehab project. This winch/spare fit perfectly in the front hitch area with an added cross-channel and a simple extension. I designed it to use the same speed wrench as my stabilizers. I see some reviews complain about it gradually lowering so to prevent that, I'll add a locking pin on the shaft extension. The first picture shows the shaft lock installed to prevent accidental lowering.

A good winch but, ...
This appears to be a good winch because now that it is installed it works well. I don't know if it will loosen over time but I hope not. Be aware, this item is very difficult to install onto a camper that was not designed for one. I'm very handy but took 2 full days to install this under my 5th wheel Forrest River. The main problem is that the winch is taller than the depth of most tires. This makes it difficult to wind a tire up under the bottom of the camper without the tire/wheel bottoming out on the winch. You want the tire to bottom on the camper not on a small part of the winch.

A great solution for spare tire storage
I upfittetd this to my equipment trailer, it is a very nice winch. The winch will loosen up when bouncing down Michigan roads. I drilled my winch rod and installed a hitch pin to prevent it from turning.

Easy Install Great Value for the money
Easy to install. We bought a unit and it appeared the previous owner had the cable rip on him or he the tire down. Bolted right in place as the old unit did. No issues. Great value for the money.
