Finally a collar like the one you get at Dog Shows.
A while back my trainer let us borrow a collar just like this, because my Golden Retriever would just NOT STOP PULLING. I tried a Martingale Collar as well and no matter what, my Dog would pull through the pain, which was frustrating, because I know how smart he is, he just couldn't get the hang of loose leash walking. Anywho, the collar she let us borrow worked amazing as long as when you're practicing heeling you keep it up sort of behind his ears (I had to hold the leash very short until he got the hang of it), that's how she taught us to do it and it was like BOOM instant cure. We no longer need this kind of collar for loose leash, we're using it as we're starting Rally, but I cannot stress how amazing this is if used correctly. My significant other could never get the hang of it and always let it slide down around his neck on walks and the pulling would start immediately when we were training him and he just didn't get why I could get him to walk so well with it and he couldn't, it's all about the placement. You don't want it under his ears, but sort of right behind the sweet spot, maybe an inch or so behind the ear. Keep in mind, this is all with a Golden Retriever, dogs are all different shapes and sizes, so this area could be a little different for you.Anyway, let's review the product! So, the one I borrowed from our trainer was purchased at a dog show and that was about 8 months ago. I searched for one just like it and ended up on amazon and purchased the "Hamilton" version of this collar. I was like, score it's cheap and looks just like the other one, I thought this would be harder! Boy was I wrong, the "Hamilton" that showed up was horrible. It felt super cheap and I was scared that one strong pull and it'd snap, I didn't even use it, I just tossed it. Well, a few days ago, I thought I'd look again, because I love how slim the collar is for showing dogs and I was excited to see there was another version now, one from "Coastal Pet Products" (this one). It was only a little over $5 dollars, so I thought I'd risk it. Boy, am I happy I did! Finally, one that is great quality, I can't even tell the difference between this one and the one she loaned us that she bought from a Dog Show. I'm so happy I risked buying it and I'll be buying more of the Coastal Pet Products versions in different colors.Bottom line: If you made the same mistake and bought one of the "Hamilton" brand ones and just basically wanted to trash it, give these a go - you won't regret it. Fantastic quality feel and they don't hurt my dog, which is super important.

VERY satisfied.
The fabric Round Choke collar by Coastal Pet Products is great. Using the collar doesn't pull the dog's fur or pinch the skin. The collars are much lighter than metallic choke collars. I was a bit worried that a fabric collar would stretch and become larger. They don't. Our two dogs have been wearing these for about a month. We take our dogs for daily walks and the collars get plenty of action. They stretch when pulled, but snap right back into place. The rings are heavy duty are very securely attached. These collars will last for years. They're a very good value at the price.VERY satisfied and we'd buy them again.

Soft choke collar, great for training.
Bought it as a recommendation from a dog trainer to train my Boston Terrier to stop pulling during walks. It worked great for the training, and I still use it for regular walks. In these years it has been through mud, dust, sand and salt water and still looks like new. The material is easy to clean and dries easily.NOTE: If you have never used this type of collar please take some time to learn how they work and how to put them on a dog.

Soft, sturdy nylon training collar for walks.
This round nylon collar is working well at this time. Our dog is more responsive to training corrections with this type of collar than the usual flat collar. Remember to use it when you can supervise your dog. Do not use for it as a tie-out collar---that could prove dangerous.I would give it 5 stars, but it is too soon to determine how long it will last.

I wholeheartedly recommend this product if you have a dog that is ...
This item is not only inexpensive, but it has been the answer to my problem with walking my dachshund. Since he is a rescue from the local shelter, and lived his entire life in a cage, he loves to get loose and run. It doesn't really matter which direction he goes, he just likes to be free, and I do understand. I do, however, want to protect him and make sure he isn't run over or lost. So, after every method imaginable, I hesitantly tried this choke collar. It is soft, and does no harm, but he does know that he cannot drag me along behind him, and his collar doesn't slip off. So, yes, I wholeheartedly recommend this product if you have a dog that is an escape artist as mine is.

best purchase!
I got this for my pit who is a little bit of a brat when it comes for corrections. Her metal collar never seemed to stay where I needed it to. Especially when i was training other dogs along with her. I heard from another trainer that the nylon was the best as far a good correction collar. Now we are using it for all of the rescue dogs I train. I love this product. It doesnt hurt the dog but it def gets the point across. Plus it looks very stylish and less intimating that the metal. I also like that it's quiet![...]

What's worse is the dog could have been hurt as it ...
Extremely displeased with quality of training collars I had purchased.A brand new collar snapped during a training session. As a trainer this is extremely embarrassing on my part and cost me money. What's worse is the dog could have been hurt as it ran off.I am now stuck with 20+ collars and 40+ customers with these collars on. Now I must scramble to find a new supplier and replace all the collars I have previously sold to clients.
