This is the coolest thing since sliced bread!!!
I bought this printer after a bad experience with a much more exspensive, huge, noisy, ink jet photo printer, scanner, fax, all in one thing. This tiny printer is actually portable, you could easily take it on a vacation and print your photo's every day, it would be a blast at a wedding or event. It's so simple to use - my non-techno husband can use it. The print quality is good (not great - but hey, it's for snapshots)the dye sublimation process is really cool - prints come out dry, just like WalMart and the price for the printer is fabulous - I paid $79. I think each print is about 33 cents, a little more exspensive than WalMart, but we live in the country and the nearest photo place is 20 miles away. The only downside - you can't do much in the way of photo enhancement in the printer itself - if you need to crop etc, you have to download into a computer, enhance and then print from your computer. But it's a really cool little printer for the casual photographer!!! Our whole family - even the grandkids love it!

Perfect for the price!
I bought this printer to have at a friend's wedding. People were able to come up and stick their SD cards in the printed and we added them to a scrap book. It worked great!!! We worked the printer hard, too. We were through about 200 photos in one night. I don't think it had much of a break for the 4 hours it was on. The next day we loaded it up again for people to print pictures for themselves and we probably ran another 150 or so. It handled 350 pictures in less than 24 hours. I've printed about 200 more pictures on it since then and it's still kicking :) I'm buying two more as gifts for my family. One little thing...don't put in too much paper. It will fault out, but it won't break it...the paper is packaged in a certian quantity for a reason. I was being too lazy to keep adding more paper when it ran out. The picture quality is fantastic for the price...no one could believe it! Another thing that is nice is you can touch the picture as soon as it comes out...great for curious kids.

Exactly what I wanted!
Setup was very simple, it's small, it prints relatively quickly and the print quality is great! This is exactly what I was looking for in a compact photo printer. I just hope it lasts for a long time without any problems. But as of now, excellent product.Update (2/27/2013):It worked well and photos came out looking great... until it broke. Cartridge jam resulted in an un-salvageable unit - couldn't get cartridge out, tried to take the whole thing apart to clean up the mess left inside and get the cartridge out, but there is no easy way of doing this with such a tiny printer. Had to trash the whole thing.. now debating if I should buy another or just order prints from local pharmacy. Disappointed that this happened without much wear on the printer (it wasn't used frequently).

great single task printer
The printer prints great from the included card reader.I found the prints from a computer to be too dark, i'll probably need to tweak the brightness control and be ok after that.It does not read xD cards natively, so you will need to either connect the camera to the usb port of the printer or use an xD to Compact Flash Adapter if your camera uses xD cards. The printer comes with a starter pack of 5 sheets andf enough ink for 5 pages.Buy the packs of 108 prints at amazon and save. price per page is about twice as much as costco but the convenience it great. What are we supposed to do with the film cassettes ? are they recyclable/ refillable ? If canon reads this, please tell us.The screen is small and low resolution, making it difficult to decide if a print will be sharp. Compared to the screen on my camera (ricoh cx1) it's ridiculously worse. What i care about it that it prints well. It does so i will give 4 stars.

This Printer is Great For Portability
Because I didn't want to dish out the overpriced dollars for the Canon iP100, I looked for something on a smaller priced scale. I did minimal research because I knew I wanted a Canon. The latest Canon CP780 does the job it's advertised. My printed photos are rich and colorful. One minute print times are okay, and the paper/ink sets (sold separately) fully coincide with the printer. I haven't had any snags or stuck papers. The printer doesn't take up any space at all in my living space.A couple of complaints. I agree with other reviewers about some of my photos having cut off heads during printing. It's only a few photos I've had a problem with, but it's not great. The other issue is the 4x6 photo size. I would love to have the option to print on 3x2 to make for an even more intimate photo collection. Currently, when my photos come up, I have to tweak the settings to print them on half a sheet. Now I have about 50 half sheets of unused photos! And no, you cannot use the other half of the photo for a different picture. It would be nice to have various sample sizes of paper (and cassettes) included in the box.One more thing is it would be nice to have a battery and bluetooth included. With current technology the way it is, the assumed portability of this printer, I should be able to open the box and start printing without going through the hassle of finding a plug, hooking it up, etc. That's why it's considered portable. I would pay an extra $20 for this printer if those items were included. My opinion.A note on customer service: My printer for some reason didn't come with the sample 5-sheet print pack, so instead of me sending the printer back, Amazon refunded me a small percentage. I love their customer service!

Doesn't work
Right out of the box. The selphie 780 wouldn't work. Kept coming up ink cartridge error. It was the biggest let down so far. Now dealing with trying to download the return label. When your old. It's hard to stay on top of things. I told my wife. When ordering on Amazon. You would expect good quality junk. Not junk.
