FIRESTIK - FS4-B 4 Foot Heavy Duty 900 WATT TOP Loaded 5/8 Wave CB Antenna with 3/8"X24" Threaded Base in Black

This antenna is great. I have this setup on my 11' Jeep wrangler unlimited and it functions perfectly. I'm getting a 1.0-1.2 SWR on all channels. This is installed on a rugged ridge mount, using all FireStik products (Stud,Coax,etc.) Every FireStik product I've used so far is high quality and installed with ease and without issue. See my other reviews for the related products. The tunable tip is great, took me 5 minutes to tune it down to almost perfect SWR (based on my SWR meter). If you have a good ground-plane you should be able to tune this very easily. I had to twist the tune screw out about 1/2 inch, and everything is working great. Getting 5-10 miles of range easily with this installed under normal conditions. I'm assuming I can get much more under ideal conditions. Have picked up several people from across the country. I'm sure they're using amps, but that's still fairly impressive.

Very durable and high quality product. Bought 3 different lengths for my Jeep Wrangler - short one (4') for highway trips that I always keep in the jeep tucked under the carpet since I use this primarily for emergency back up. A longer (5') for trail use in heavily forested areas thereby avoiding the constant banging caused by overhead limbs and brush. An the longest (6') for off roading in open areas. They all tune very easily by adjusting the screw in the tip which is then covered by the supplied end cap to protect the screw from the weather and any inadvertent changes to the tune. Used them for about a year now and they all look like new.

I was having an endless struggle getting my CB to work properly. The SWR readings were way high and no matter how much adjustment I did with my previous antenna, I could not get them to move. The antenna check was also failing, even though all other signs pointed to it passing. Tore apart the cables, soldered the connects again, nothing work. I decided to just get the 4 foot FireStik and I am glad I did. I put it on and with very little adjustment I am getting near perfect SWR readings. I have clean and clear communication and couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend these Firestik antennas in whatever size works for you.Easily tunable with just your fingers. Flexible enough not to break with a slight breeze. 100% American made with 100% American parts, you can't go wrong! Works great with FireStik springs and other Firestik accessories.

I really like this antenna. It is easy to tune and install. I also have mine RF grounded. I tuned it with a Nano VNA, so that made it easy. I pick up a lot of skip stations from all over as well.

I bought this to replace a shoddy glass through antenna and hooked this up with a quick disconnect to my luggage rack antenna mount and a cheapo Midland 1001Z. Once I got the ground and SWR worked out I set out for a test run.On the highway driving highway speeds I was getting very good audio reports up to about 4.5 miles away and receive was excellent.SWR was easy to set on my setup after the ground was connected properly (which was the hardest part, my roof rack is insulated from the rest of the car) SWR adjustment was very easy, just turn the screw. Remember to put the tip on while testing SWR if you plan on having it on while you are using the antennaAll things considered it's a bit tall for the car but that doesn't affect my review, it just looks goofy. I would probably go with the 3' version next time and will definitely be buying a Firestick if I need another antenna.

Works great as a base station antenna for my CB. Easy to adjust.

I coupled this antenna with my Uniden Pro 520XL. You won't find a better antenna MADE IN AMERICA that costs $25. This is a great company with an outstanding philosophy of durable products and public education on how to use radio equipment properly. They have really good tutorials on setting up your equipment and understanding all the technical values. I use mine in an offroad capacity and have it whipping around into bushes and trees. So far no problem -3mos w/ a few trips. I've got the antenna spring to help it pass by objects. This is a great product that tuned in one shot with an SWR meter.

Very easy to tune to the exact frequency. Wind noise is a bit loud due to a relatively large diameter to the antenna. It has excellent performance on both transmit and receive due to being top loaded.
