Neon Sign Transformer 4KV AC 30mA Load Neon Electronic Transformer, 1-4m Neon Sign Power Supply Rectifier

I am fortunate enough to own an old car dealer's neon MG sign. It may go right back to 1920's when Mr Kimber started modifying and selling standard Morris Cars. The perspex case is 50 by 50 cm and my guess is that the tube is about 190cm (it is one continuous electrical circuit end to end so the 4000 Volts of the power supply is clearly enough). Funnily enough I mailed what turned out to be an American company who advised 7000 Volts. Scary.My sign was made by the Brillite company of Northampton and you could ring them up on Northampton (NOR?)1229 as shown on a brass tag. This number system was introduced in 1922 and phased out in 1958 with the advent of the unfortunately named UK STD system.According to Wikipedia "A Frenchman by the name of Georges Claude first started producing neon as a by product to their air liquefaction process in 1900. He then demonstrated the first lamps in 1910 at the Paris Motor Show by showing 2 lengths of 12 metre long bright red neon tubes for the first time."To my absolute delight this sign has burst back into life after many, many decades. So the price of this step up PS is far less than the value of the box. Vivid MG red. Fantastic. I'm open to advice regarding how many of these are in circulation now. I have seen some copies are but certainly no original Brillites.So when was this MG sign commissioned & constructed?I'm presuming this is worth something now?
