Family likes the multiple colors, which will probably come in doubly-handy when one or two start to dull before others -- it'll be easy to tell which one without accidentally pulling the bad one out by mistake. Knowing myself, I'm probably not going to keep sharpening this like a pocketknife or expensive chef's knife.They're sharp without being kid-dangerous due to the rounded tips, unlike our others which are plenty sharp but have to be extra careful with kids in the house. So these are perfect for every-day/casual.My second Victorinox for the kitchen, after buying a huge bread knife as well. I know there has to be a reason for the cheapy looking plastic handles - maybe the texture makes them less slippery - but they're not much to look at & put in a block always on display. Didn't care as much with these because the colors advertise that we're not looking for something formal. Don't care in general - we keep them in a drawer - but because of the looks I don't know how much they'd make a great gift since they look and seem cheaply made...until you use them and see they're anything but.Really happy with these; would order again in a heartbeat if they ever got lost/damaged, or if I just became too lazy to sharpen a set of serrated knives when they eventually dull out some years down the line. Had these for only about 6 months now but they're still really sharp after plenty of use, so who knows when that'll be.

Victorinox knives are kitchen essentials and this set delivers! This great set comes with several brightly colored handles, which are useful to use in different food groups in the kitchen. And from my experience, Victorinox knives last for a long time. Each of these utensils come individually packaged so they're safe to remove from the packaging without fear of injuring yourself. The colors and quality are excellent - great steak knife for everyday use.

Like most things Victorinox these are quality knives. My wife and I got tired of all of our steak knives rusting and getting dull, not to mention that many of them had wicked points on them which we really didn't need for anything. So we decided to upgrade our steak knives. Honestly I don't see us ever needing another set as these things are built to last a lifetime. The Fibrox handles are sturdy, provide great purchase, and are quite comfortable. The knives themselves are super sharp and will make short work of anything on your dinner table. The colors are bright and clear and might be a bit too much if you are really into having all your silverware match. At first I balked at the price tag a bit but now I'm completely satisfied as these knives are very well made and will pay for themselves over the years because they will last so long.I try to make my reviews engaging and useful. I have bought three sets of these knives, one for us and another for each of our kids when they got their own houses! They are really sharp and multipurpose--we use them for everything. I really like having the different colors, so everyone can identify his or her knife. And since they are made by the Swiss Army knife company, Victorinox, I have complete confidence in their quality. We have had some of them for 40 years and still love them!

I LOVE these. They are light in your hand with a good grip for me and my kids that are learning to cut their own steak. We are a family and these knives are excellent for kids and adults. They are sharp but have the rounded edge I wanted to avoid injury vs a pointed one. Cut much better than all previous this 50 yr old housewife has owned. These wouldn't make a good gift though because they are not fancy. They are excellent for every day use.The price was good, the brand I like, and they were shipped with some kind of protective tape which I appreciated. The only thing surprised me was that they were shipped in a simple bubble wrap flat envelope. For that cost and because of the brand, I was expecting a more professional presentation. I was a little bummed with that, but happy with product.
