They have a ribbon-like fabric for the lanyard and a strong metal clamp to secure it to the retractable wheel. I love this because I am constantly using my ID to tap places at work and I can't do that if it can't leave my neck. So this is great deal for the buck- I was able to give my friend the other one and now we match.

My IDs are now secure in a Ziploc heavy duty plastic holder and all my cards register quickly when scanned AND it's so convenient to simply pull my expandable line to the reader. Awesome 5 pack of ID holders with a nice length lanyard and the ability to stretch and retract on a spring loaded tether. They feel quality but also feel like they won’t last for ever (the spring detect mechanism) but for the price I can’t complain. No odd smell that I can sense from the plastic holder or lanyard. The holder is nice and clear and easy to see my name and photo. Been using for weeks now with no issues and even bought more for spares and to give to some of my employees. I ordered these as a trial to see if they would work well for me in different settings. The lanyards are durable, thick place to cover id that ziplocks which is a nice touch so things don't fall out. The retractable feature is great for workplaces where you need to scan your id to open doors and yet also wear them as proof of identity in the workplace, such as hospitals or schools. Glad they come in a 2 pack just to have a back up. The only other thing I'd like would be a 2 pack of a vertical and a horizontal one so you have both options!

I just started a new job that requires a badge and I must say that I’m pleasantly pleased with this lanyard and badge holder. The badge holder is also retractable which makes it better! It comes in a 2 pack and the extra one would make a nice gift for a coworker or just to have on standby. I would definitely purchase again.

I’ve only used one so far because that’s all I’ve needed. The lanyard is soft. It doesn’t pull my hair or catch on my clothing. The badge reel pulls soft and is strong enough to hold my rather heavy ID badge.It does come with plastic to protect the ID but I haven’t used those yet. Those look thick and sturdy.I would recommend these.

These are excellent in comparison to the cheap crappy ones I had before. The plastic is very thick and durable. And the pulley doesn’t fall apart. Also the lanyard is nice and thick!

I only use the plastic lanyard and its quality. Thick clear plastic pouch, my badge fits, what else could you wish for? And it's two of them, so score. Good seller, also messaged me asking if I was satisfied.
