I love this little thing (and birds). I ended up losing the first one I got (not any fault of the product), and after using a non-birb bottle opener a few times, I realized how much I actually missed it. When I looked it up on Amazon, I was delighted to know I could order it here.I will have to say, I have only tried to open one wine bottle with the new one (never tried with the old one), and I was not able to. The shape offered a great grip/place to put my hand, but I felt like I was going to rip the corkscrew out of the center of the cork (but not pull the cork out of the bottle) or break the corkscrew off of the bird. However, the bird did hold up and was not damaged. I am not typically a wine drinker, so I have not been able to test again to see if it was just a stubborn bottle, or if it was the bird’s fault.As for the bottle cap opener part. It is wonderful, and works amazingly. The foil cutter worked well for the wine bottle mentioned above, and has also proved useful as a temporary pocket knife to open packages.The best part? It’s a bird! It looks like a little robin! I love my Bottle Opening Birb :)

This is our second time purchasing this wine opener (first one was forgotten at a friend’s house). Great quality and very easy to use.

My first fish cork screw went missing. Apparently someone else really wanted it, so I ordered another. Nice quality and looks god on the table withe wine and cheese

It’s a beautiful piece, and it works as far as opening beer bottles without issue. But I did notice, on the head of the bird, there’s a sharp/ragged metal edge sticking out (barely visible) I cut myself on it. So I’ll have to grind this down myself. Other than that, it’s great

I ordered 2 of these and though they arrived in a sealed box, somehow both corkscrews had been removed from their cardboard placards with the plastic anchoring strips cut. Don't know if this was done by the post office's security people, but the box did not appear tampered with. Although both corkscrews were in great condition, one was meant as a gift and I'll have to find a box of an appropriate size to put it in since it's original packaging was destroyed. Love the look of these...cute and definitely looks like a fish. Great for those who love to fish AND drink wine! Price was reasonable and the product made of wood and steel so I know it will hold up better than most plastic corkscrews. I would definitely order again, if desired, but would check with customer service first to inquire about the packaging issue.

Love this - very well made and nice solid feel. Everyone thinks it cost a lot more - read it was some newspapers top bottle opener of 2019 and I have to say, having owned my last waiters friend since I was working in a bar 16 years ago and being forced to replace it (maybe from overuse), this looks like it will last the next 16.

Well made. Works as it should. Haven't had any issues opening wine bottles like other reviews I've read. Would highly recommend to others!
