It's hard to find this type of mending plate for a decent price, quantity, and sturdiness. I used the plates to convert a tri-fold door into non-folding, sliding door for a pocket door I'm constructing. This heavily used sliding door is working out great with this hardware. I'm testing it before adding the back side of the pocket door.Because of my experiment, now, I'm converting another tri-fold door into a non-folding, sliding barn door.Another family member liked mine and thinks it will work great for the barn door he is adding in his studio room that will replace the heavily used bathroom door and leave needed space.

Used these to reinforce a broken chair leg. Worked well, except that the accompanying flat- head screws did not fit completely flush with the plates.

Seems ok to me! They are not magnetic and possibly stainless steel as someone else mentioned. RIP for my drill bit I guess. Yes, mine were are a little scratched from them jumbling around in the bag, but they seem to still look decent under the plastic. I dont need pretty for my use, though. Thought it arrived with weird blue paint and scratched to hell but actually that was just the protective film. Seems good.

It appears these plates and screws are randomly combined for sale. Each tiny bag contains 6 screws while the plate only takes 4. Screws do not go in all the way and they stay sticking out. I replaced these screws with something else because one screw broke off and lost its head. Please be forewarned.The plate has a nice thickness to it. The blue protection film on the plate is a low quality and kind of hard to peel off completely. Some films were partially off upon arrival, and plates had scratches.

I would have given it 5 stars but it is a bit cumbersome to peel off the backing.Otherwise, it is a true gem.

the packaging was better than I expected. the screws are in small bags of 4 and not just one large bag.I purchased to fix a screen door and the plates worked great.

I gave this to my Son-in-law for future projects.

Bracket ok, but had to use other screws otherwise they would stand proud of the bracket

Don’t buy unless you have alternative screws! The plates themselves are fine, however the supplied screws all sheared off halfway.
