The Story of Pandora: A Fantasy Coloring Book

The whimsical art of this beautiful coloring book outshines its flaws.
In this coloring book we follow Pandora through a dreamlike world full of weird and wonderful flora and fauna. The landscapes she explores are strange and beautiful, and though her adventure is very much based on Alice in Wonderland, Pandora is an interesting character of her own. Her mushroom-like dress, feather collar and ribbon ties/rabbit ears certainly are different than what we are used to seeing with Alice, and like the world that surrounds her, are a great pleasure to color. While this is an exquisite coloring book with every page full of whimsical and ornate illustrations, due to all of the small details, this is definitely a coloring book for those who enjoy coloring more complex designs. Despite the fact there is a large amount of white space on each page, the images are anything but simple. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell what a particular line is part of.Though I find the art incredible, other aspects of this coloring book could be improved. The paper is fairly thick and bright white, but the designs are printed on both sides of the page. This makes it impossible to use markers or gel pens unless you don't mind ruining the other side, as they go right through. Also, the pages are not perforated and quite a bit of the image is lost in the binding, especially when so many of the illustrations span two pages. Lastly, the frequent use of large areas of white space in much of the artwork is a bit of a letdown, but this is a more minor complaint. In the end, I wish this book didn't have art on both sides and had pages that could be removed easily, but it is absolutely worth buying for the gorgeous art. That is, if you don't mind coloring something with many small, but amazing, details.

Nice book
Nice book with medium paper and cute images. The line work and detail can get a little small for my taste but it's workable. Medium weight paper. It's nice for what it is, it takes Pencil quite well

Favorite Coloring Book!!
I have around 30 coloring books and I have to say this is at the top of my list, if not my very favorite!! The paper is excellent quality, the designs have everything from detailed to bigger coloring spaces in it and the story line is super cute. I really hope Kim Sun Hyun does more coloring books!

I want to color outside the lines from feeling so creative!
This book is so fun and weird all at the same time!It leads me to be creative and want to color outside the lines (not literally but figuratively).Phenomenal book!

Meh
So, nearly ever page is a double page spread where major elements are lost into the binding crease. I will probably never use this book for anything other than a tester. The artwork is beautiful so it’s a real shame that they put the book together in this manner.

Trotzdem: Das Buch gefällt mir sehr gut!

Nice book.
Such a lovely book. The illustrations are pretty and not too complicated. Paper is thick enough for color pencil and a light hand at watercolor brush pens but alcohol markers will bleed through.
