Work really well on Sony a6000
I have been using these extension tubes with a Sony a6000 and they work a treat. The autofocus works which is good as with macro photography you gave to getpretty close. For a very reasonable outlay you can use a standard lens for macrowork and I will not even think about buying a macro lens now.BUT I tried these with my Sony A7 iii and they didn’t work. I have no idea why and I didn’tspend time fiddling about as my camera is too precious to muck about with. However the size and manoeuvrability of the a6000 make it ideal for sneaking up on insects in the gardenso I shall happily continue.

Great on their own, together they need manual focus
These have worked well on my Sony a6400. Used singley they work well with auto focus. Used together the autofocus does not work and manual is tricky but rewarding when you get it right. Crazy depth of field. A great budget alternative to a macro lense. Not tried it on my other lenses but works well on 16-55mm.

will vary dependant on your glass quality - with a half decent lens you can obtain great results.
i will eventually be uploading images to show examples of the images (just simple flowers in my garden). All taken within about 10 minutes of each other, they have the same settings, on the same lens at the same shutter speed.ISO 500Sony FE 50mm F1.8 at F5.61/80sthey will be in this following order:No extension tube at minimum focal distance - 385mm10mm extension at minimum focal distance - 160mm10mm extension at maximum focal distance - 280mm16mm extension at minimum focal distance - 125mm16mm extension at maximum focal distance - 180mm26mm extension at minimum focal distance - 90mm26mm extension at maximum focal distance - 100mmAll these values are rounded to the nearest 5mm as it was a little windy today. As you can see is the nature of all extension tubes, as the lens gets further from the sensor the depth of field in focus will also get smaller. To change this i would have had to decrease my aperture, so a strong light source is important for this product if you care photographing out of the sun.The auto focus was a little slow at times and would not meet the absolute minimum focal distance, but it did get very close.Like i said the picture quality will be dependant on the glass you are using, but more extensions will result in more chromatic aberation, so an already bad lens will only appear worse with this. Before buying this you should know the sharpness curves for your lens and use the F stops that give good sharpness to get good results. in general i would suggest F11 to give your depth of field the best chance. above this you will get better depth of field but darker pictures which will show more chromatic aberation and less sharp images. If you have a G or GM lens for your sony camera then this doesnt matter because the glass quality is high.

AF works, fit is not great
Autofocus works as described and I got a few nice test shots. However, the fit is a bit wobbly which is a bit of a worry. I will not be happy of this damages my £1700 camera body or £1000 lens!May as well have bought one of the unbranded generic ones for half the price.

Does the job at a good price
These work and seem robustly made. I am using them on a Sony mirrorless camera with a prime lense. As with all macro rings they need some patience and learning to use effectively, the issue is getting and holding focus. But of their type, they are a good purchase and at a good price. I may get some extra caps to cover them though, i don’t like the idea of screwing a potentially dusty part directly above the camera sensor. I do wish all manufacturers of screw in adapters would include the caps as standard.

works but it's loose
Whilst this product does work, I'm unhappy with the build.Once I attach my lens to the body of the camera with this extension tube i notice significant wiggle room. When you have expensive bits of kit connected together using this, i get very anxious about moving it due to the risk of damaging the lens or body as well as allowing dirt through any gaps.I'm not sure if it's just my set of tubes but there's a good 2-3mm of wiggle room when measured at the end of the camera. Definitely not comfortable attaching this to the camera.

Work fine but lenses don't always feel tightly fixed.
I've found these to be fine, they work perfectly however when you strap a heavy lens to them, they don't feel like they fit well . there is some play in the fitting once locked in which just doesn't fill you with confidence.no other issue with them. Metal structure and AF works fine etc...

These rings give you macro shots that look incredible at affordable price.
I used these on my a7iii just with the kit lens and I get BEAUTIFUL results. The rings themselves actually have no lenses in them, it's done purely electrically by using the metal pins to communicate with the receiving lens. They're super easy to install as they just twist on like regular lenses and I normally stack the both on to get super macro shots. I attached a pic of a spider's web with water droplets on so you get an idea of how close these things rings focus! I've recommended these to all my friends :)

almost perfect
The media could not be loaded. This NEEWER macro extension tube set has a solid metal construction and a good interior matte finish to avoid reflections. I am using it with a Sony A7RV and a Tamron 35-150. The autofocus on this is hit an miss since the focus distance is highly variable with a telephoto and infinity focus is no longer possible with an extension tube. That said, once I figured out what my minimum and maximum focal distances were then I understood how to take full advantage of the macro capability with autofocus. I took some of these test shots with the 10 mm tube to compare my old plastic adapter. My old adapter worked well with smaller prime lenses but it was having connection issues with the larger telephotos... the plastic was not able to handle the weight. I say that this is "almost perfect" because I did experience a bit of movement in the connection between the two adapters when it was loaded with the lens (see video). This movement did not affect functionality but it is something to keep in mind. These extension tubes are a great asset to get macro functionality to existing lenses, amateur and sporadic use which I love, but they are not intended for intensive use.

Ottimo prodotto ad un costo contenuto
The media could not be loaded.

Pretty Impressive!!!! Using it with a Sony a7iii Full Frame Body - Works well
I attached a photo straight out of camera (sony a7iii) just to show how well these macro tubes work. I was just messing around with a ring and some purple led lights. While I have to agree that autofocus is hardly usable with these rings, I have yet to come by a macro lens that is really great at autofocusing at the minimal focusing distance. With manual focus, these macro tubes are phenomenal. They have a tight lock (no moving or shakiness with the ring locks), at they are made of metal, so they have a solid construction.Would highly recommend, save your money for a good portrait lens!
