Kegco BF SHCK-NT Conversion Kit, 1 Faucet without Tank, Standard

Great kit for my kegerator project. The faucet started to bind after a little while and I replaced it with a Perlick. The regulator has not presented any problems after a couple years of use.

I'm happy with my purchase. I knew nothing about kegs or connecting them prior to really buying this. I built my own keezer though so I purchased this kit. My only thought is these should all come with a commercial keg connector. It comes with the ball lock style which is awesome for homebrewers but if you plan on purchasing a commercial keg from ANY business you will have to buy a commercial keg connector D coupler which is not cheap. You can normally rent these from wherever you get your keg from but thats just another deposit you have to put down when you get your first keg. Fortunately for my there are a few homebrew stores locally that sold them and the connectors to connect them to this system. It was a mess of a situation but my local homebrew store helped me out. Without there knowledge I might have given up. It cost about an extra $25-30 bucks but it has worked great for over a year now!

Great product a far...one keg in and working fine. Easy set-up, can't go wrong with this one.

Mine came with extra hoses which was nice. Also, the regulator is a lot nicer than the other one I have.

Instructions had me put a 1 3/8 hole through my fridge. This is the same size as the OD of the shank nut. Now I have a hole in my fridge that I can't tighten the shank to. I have to go buy a larger diameter shank nut or washer so I can tighten the shank to the fridge. Also the PVC spacer isn't defined it says just to use one it doesn't tell you the diameter needed. Also the purpose of the spacer isn't given I think it is to prevent buckling when the shank is tightened. I think this could have all been avoided if I drilled a smaller hole through the fridge but it's too late now.
