StatLock PICC Plus StabiIization Device-Description Foam Anchor Pad Configuration Crescent Sliding Posts Type Adult - Each 1

I prefer these Stat-Lock devices to secure my PICC rather than any other device that the home health agency has provided in their dressing change kits. I am a very difficult stick and it took 2 hours just to get this PICC placed in Interventional Radiology. I was the hardest patient they’ve ever placed a PICC in before. I have to keep this patent and in place until I can get another Hickman central line placed as my original Hickman became infected within 36 hours of it being placed. I was septic and going into septic shock. So, I want to be absolutely certain that this line remains in place. I prefer the Stat-Lock device to secure the PICC because it is designed to keep them in place. My PICC hasn’t moved even though the extension tubing has gotten caught on a couple of things. The stat-lock kept my line safe, secure, and in the proper place. These devices are fantastic to keep your line in place. I bought an extra one just in case I needed one as the dressing change kits from the home health agency do not have a stat lock device with them. Luckily, I had dressing kits with them from the hospital and from the infusion company so I’m good with stat locks at this point. It’s still good to have a spare though in case one gets contaminated.

I had been a little hesitant to purchase this given the few negative reviews but didn't have much choice as I was traveling and needed a StatLock for PICC dressing changes. Yes, the picture does not show a *foam* adhesive StatLock but the descriptive title clearly states it is a foam adhesive StatLock with sliding posts. I received this exact item. In a sterilized package and well within the expiration date. It also arrived a day before the earliest date in the window provided for delivery (this was important as PICC line dressings must be changed weekly - so delays aren't an option). This foam StatLock was identical to every foam StatLock that had been used by hospitals across the country and too many clinics to count (I am now on my 3rd PICC line) so do not fear about what you are getting. It will also come with the "skin prep" as well if you are used to using that - some nurses use it and some do not.It goes without saying if you have a PICC line in place that you understand the "lines" are not going to be delivered - those are surgically implanted at the time of the PICC line placement; all you will receive is the foam adhesive to stabilize and keep the PICC line secured. Thank you for the prompt delivery of exactly what was described and needed. Will definitely order again if the need arises. Maybe I bought the wrong product? It was different than any other stat lock I’ve seen or used before and after about ten minutes of trying to figure out how to use it as intended, I gave up to figure out how to use it in a way it would work at all. Even with the support tape and tegaderm on top, needless to say, my mum who I take care of is no longer without a catheter at all.Side note: I’ve only used foley caterer stat locks on my mother who is a bariatric patient, so I do not know if this is a relevant part of the issue.

I thought I was ordering the foam pad, but instead I received the TriCot version. The item description is misleading. Beware...you may not receive what you think you've purchased.

I got this product when I found out I was going to need a picc line placed and knew in my bandage changes they did not have a replacement one. It is great quality and honestly not bad for the price. I think people thought it included the picc maybe and that’s why they are giving it bad reviews? I think it’s a great product and does its purpose and sticks for a long time

I love that later in my life, as in now, that I’m a vet supporting vets and being taken care of by vets. It’s a circle not many would understand... As far as the product goes, the parts I order usually arrive faster than stated and it’s a good product.

I've been using these stat locks since January and change them once a week. It is sturdy and keeps the line in place.

These work great!! I needed a replacement fast because the box the medical supply company sent me got thrown away. I paid extra to have them shipped faster and they did not disappoint. Thanks again!!
