My boyfriend absolutely loves this cutting board with his whole heart & soul. Oils it, rubs it, takes pictures of his food items on it. It’s very disturbing but overall sweet that he loved this gift, I guess. Anyway, if you have a serious food cooker in your life or this describes you, buy it. They may shed a tear of joy.

Perfect countertop butcher block cutting board for just about everything. Just keep the surfaces clean and conditioned/seasoned and it will last a long time. Better than the thin boards in my opinion. May be a little cumbersome to move around, but worth the effort for a board in constant use.

Worth the price.

HORRIBLE......sent first board back due to defectReceived second board and noticed a (? Gouge/missing splinter) defect on left side of board. I was SO DISCOURAGED AFTER SENDING 1st board back only to receive ANOTHER DEFECTIVE CUTTING BOARD. I was in the middle of preparing for a flight and trying to get ready for my trip thinking I’d return board when I got home. After PAYING THIS EXORBITANT PRICE FOR A CUTTING BOARD I’M VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BOARD. I would appreciate a response to this review. I took a picture of the defect when I first noticed on July 14th. My sister took more pictures today after seeing this defect with the under counter lights on defect really stood out....I would not recommend buying this item due to my poor products I received twice.

This is a high quality board and I just love it. I got the 24x18x1.75" It's great, but it is too heavy for me. I wish it weren't. There is a point you have to be able to get it to the sink and clean it. For me it is too heavy but If you have the muscle to manage this, it is a great , beautiful well made cutting board to own. I would highly recommend. I am going with the more manageable for me 1.5" thickness because of the weight. Both wonderful boards. John Boos board a American made and used by chefs around the world. They are quality.

Solid, heavy, but the dents and chips are an indication of terrible quality control. This board was expensive. Too expensive for a damaged item. The packaging was intact and not torn, which means the board was damaged before it was packaged.

It is beautiful and heavy, and seems solid. Definitely get the board oil and cream and take care of it as directed, and you should have no issues with cracking. We’ve had it for several months and use it a lot. No issues with cracks so far! Quality seems excellent.
