1 size smaller
I originally ordered these a 1/2 size smaller, due to the existing reviews. Some said they fit fine, others said they were a size too big. So, I split the difference and I ordered 1/2 size smaller. The 1/2 size smaller than my shoe size wound up being too big. I exchanged them for a full-size smaller and they fit perfectly. The instructor told me that tap shoes should fit with your toe all the way to the end of the shoe, with no wiggle room. If I went by my street shoe fit, with some room, my regular size would have been correct. However, being tap shoes, and needing them to fit snuggly, go with the full size smaller.

Screws stripped after 30 days
Purchased these shoes for a student taking tap lessons 2-3 times a week, within 4 weeks, the screws have been completely stripped to the point that they cannot be repaired at home, we have had to take them in for an expensive repair at the cobbler. Definitely disappointed and not worth the money for the quality.

Fits Perfectly
I bought my normal shoe size and it fit perfectly. I do not recommend going down in size like the site suggests. Very pretty sound.

Last year my son (12 yr old) wore the Jason Samuel Smith shoes, which made a gorgeous sound but were crazy heavy. We switched to the jazz tap this year and he loves them. They're a bit lighter and I haven't heard them on stage yet, but he raves about them.

Runs large
Excellent quality but so big! I purchased a 12, which is my son’s street shoe size. It was enormous. I then ordered an 11, also too big. I am expecting a 10 and a 10.5 today, one of those two will likely fit.

I went a half size down and happy
The listing said to go a full size down but after judging the reviews I decided to go half a size down and the fit is perfect for me. I like a little room for my toes as it makes toe stance more comfortable.

Love them!!
As long as you know go down a size from your street shoes. Example: street shoes are mens11.5 therefore Tap shoe would be Mens 10.5.
