I bought this weighted blanket after hearing about how effective it can be to enhance good sleep. It has taken me several weeks to get used to it but I am glad that I persevered. I do sleep better with it, but the additional weight can sometimes feel too much. It certainly does promote more restful sleep and I consider it to be effective for the purpose for which it was designed. Whether it will prove to be too hot in the summer remains to be seen.

The was as I expected. I am not thrilled with it as it is too hot.

I purchased two of these. One 5lb for a child and one 20lb for myself. I went heavier for mine than the recommended body weight percentage on the chart. The blankets come nicely packaged. The weighted blanket has square sections with tiny pellets of weights that do move within the square sections. They are not loose within the entire blanket. The weight measures exact folded on a scale.The weighted section is dry clean only while the cover is machine washable. The cover is not padded but soft. It is like a slip case with ribbon ties to fit within tabs on weighted blanket to help keep in place inside the cover or else it would be similar to a bean bag and just slide to a ball. All as advertised. Shipped earlier than suggested.The reason I purchased was because I have lupus and the pain at night is intense and my sleep is always disturbed. I have only used this two nights and I don’t know that it does or doesn’t help but it does prevent the tossing and turning because you are weighted down. I hope eventually it will help me sleep. I do like them and recommend this purchase if you are shipping this type of blanket. The cover is made for the specific blanket and comes with it. Easy and convenient. The price is lower than gravity blankets and does the same thing. Good luck to anyone struggling with something that prevents sleep. Hopefully this is helpful for you.

Can’t rate the product because I didn’t even get a chance to take it out of the packaging. There was a good sized dead bug right inside the bag it comes in. I didn’t even want to open it to find out what else was in there. Poor quality control.

I had been keeping my eye on a Gravity Blanket for a couple of years and every time determined that it was too expensive. I did an exhaustive search of other blankets and tried to find a balance of quality and ability to fulfill my need, and landed here. I've been using this blanket about 10 days now.The blanket quality is fine. The mink cover is soft and seems durable. The ties on the inside of the blanket have slipped once or twice, but it's easy enough to fix (if a mild annoyance). Generally speaking, the blanket itself seems durable and well made.But after 3 nights, I noticed the beads were running to the sides of the blankets. After 5 days, they were accumulated almost exclusively in the corners or off towards my feet (raising knees in bed will cause them to trickle down). I have to beat the blanket out every night before bed and this is a 20lb blanket we're talking about. The beds do not stay, and I cannot achieve through brute force the ability to make an even weight as it arrived. When I read reviews, I thought "it can't be that bad, and this is a good price," when in fact, if I had realized what this would actually be like, I would have spent the extra money on a blanket that had stitched squares to keep the beads in place.This would be excellent for kids and lounging. I like it, but it definitely isn't doing what I had purchased it for.

The quilty is a great product. I love the soft material. It was easy to put the duvet cover on. The only thing I wish was that I had bought one a little smaller to get the full effect of the weight. I bought the 60x80 and I wish now that I would have bought the 48x78. It’s the 15 lbs. When the blanket it bigger the weight is distributed over a larger area. I feel like along with suggestions for the weight of the blanket there should also be suggestions for size based on a person height. If I double the blanket over I can few more weight.

It"s not very sturdy and two pouches broke open in two separate situations. All the beads spilled our all over the place. For this price, this should not happen.Update: The company contacted me and offered a replacement. I changed my rating to reflect that. We liked the blanket quite a bit and are happy to get a new one.

We didn’t want to use the fuzzier cover than originally came with our Quility blanket (don’t get me wrong- the original cover is super soft and feels great, we just wanted something less fuzzy during the summer months), so I bought this one. It’s easy to attach and remove for washing. The blanket ties at multiple points inside the cover (we just tied simple bows, no crazy knots or anything), so it doesn’t get all bunched on one side. Works well!

We have the weighted blanket for our 7 year old and while the cover it came with was perfect for the California "winter" it was proving too hot as things get warmer. This is a great option for the summer for us and is very well made and should wash well.

I love this cover!! It keeps my weighted blanket clean. The material feels like a sheet which doesn't over heat me while I'm sleeping. It has strings in the corners to attach to the blanket and it NEVER shifts!! It's a nice quality and easy to wash. Will definitely be buying another!!

I bought this for my grandson who has autism and a sensory disorder. Sometimes, he has mini meltdowns and cannot articulate what's upsetting him. I watched the movie Temple Grandin a few years ago and recalled weight or being squeezed help her calm herself.My daughter opened the package and laid it on him while he was on the floor watching TV. Now he won't go anywhere without it.We will have to see how it will works when he gets upset. Hopefully, it'll help him feel safe and secure.

I have been using my blanket for a few night now and it is so comfortable. The duvet that it comes with is such great quality and is so soft. Being in Texas, it is though very warm for this time a year. I did buy the cotton duvet that I will be switching over to soon which is also great quality. I do have a new puppy right now so I cannot judge it yet for sleep quality. All I know now is that it is so comfortable I do not want to get out of bed. My daughter wants one and I plan on buying her one for her birthday.

I am 5'4 and weigh 108 lbs. I ordered the 60 x 80" 15 lb blanket with the minkie duvet. I found the polyester duvet to be too hot and sweaty. So I ordered a cotton duvet and I'm much more comfortable with that. I like the size and weight of the blanket a lot. I was surprised to find that I do sleep better with the weighted blanket, and I find it to be calming and soothing indeed. I really look forward to slipping in bed at night and pulling it up over myself. I sleep both on my back and on my side. My daughter has one and loves hers as well. I highly recommend.

I purchased the duvet for my weighted blanket because the blanket cannot be washed. My blanket is 10 lbs. (considered child size but I am a senior citizen and 10 lbs is enough for me!) and the duvet fits perfectly. It is very soft and can be laundered as needed!

I had recently purchased this for my 10 yr old son, and he absolutely loves it! The cover is super soft and for my son's size, just the right amount of weight to give him a secure and comfortable feeling for when he sleeps. Literally, he carries it around the house with him, from couch to bed, which prompted me to get him a second one! As compared to other weighted blankets, Quility has many selections for weight, color and fabric. This is quality beyond what I expected.
