Ran into a counterfeit from Amazon but this is the real thing. I like the graph paper, the envelope in the back, the elastic fits this time (YAY!!!!). I use one about every year. I love this one.

I'm a huge fan of the Moleskin journals. I went a long time using all sorts of different brands and everyone I met kept raving about the Moleskin journals. So finally I made the plunge to try one out on my own. I am now a huge fan and highly recommend them.The pages are a bit thin like the other reviewers state. You will have to assess that on your own with what kind of pen you use and what kind of notes you are going to take. If some bleed through bothers you then you probably want something else. Some pens bleed through very severely so you will have to test out what pen works the best. When I have time I'll do some testing with different pens and post my results. For now I use a variety of different pens but stay away from sharpies or any markers.I love how the cover can be folded back so you can write on just one page at a time. It's pretty comfortable to write on when sitting at a lecture with just your lap as a surface to write on.I use my journal to keep track of my work projects and also have a few others I use for writing projects and ideas. It really helps to have it all in one book instead of a bunch of loose pages all over your bag and house.The construction is very solid and is holding up to day to day abuse and use. The pages are holding together well and the binding is sewn in so it's very hard to loose a page. I love all the colors you can get and I get a different color for different subjects.Worth the price? I think so. You get what you pay for!Highly recommended and great for the obsessive note taker. ;)

Perfect size. Easy to carry, built in place holder and elastic to hold it closed. These have a grid of dots, to keep writing straight, or reference off for drawing. Just do it. You won’t be disappointed.

I bought a 4"X6" Portland Leather Goods journal cover & wanted a high-quality, soft-cover, dotted journal to use in it. This brand/item fit the bill perfectly.[+] Size allows entire journal to remain within covers borders.[+] The soft covers allowed it to easily slide into the snug stitched leather journal holder sleeves.[+] High-quality brand & reputation[+] Well-made :: All the dots line up on each subsequent page (which is super important to this OCD perfectionist)![+/-] Price :: I happened to find mine at a STEAL of a price, but when researching a replacement, all other options were 30% (or more) expensive! Perhaps it was because of the color and/or dotted option (the lined soft-cover pocket journals in black were more in line with what I actually paid). So expect to pay varying amounts (& possibly shipping) depending on size, cover type, line type (dotted, squared, lined, etc.), number of pages, etc. Moleskine apparently does not sell much of an assortment of options unless you're looking for the standard/classic version: 5"x8.25" in size with a hard cover.

Simpler to get here and fair price

Love the color, love the moleskine brand, but the paper is too thin. My sharpie pens don't bleed through, but you can see writing through the pages. Not the clean look I wanted.

I use this every day as my journal. These last for years without any pages falling out.

Actual mole skin journals have been very difficult to find in stores. This one takes the cake! Great color & size selection with dotted lines.

I use it everyday for work and taking notes. Its durable, looks beautiful and pages feel buttery smooth!

This is my favourite journal of all time! I love having large, blank pages to write on. It's so high quality, and the colour is life-giving.

Good old beautiful moleskine. Exactly what you expect in my favourite colour. Don't ever change. xo
