Good basic system
seems like a quality unit for the price.I bought this to act as a camera inside an enclosed trailer I tow. For that purpose, the wireless was KEY.Installation was easy. Took about an hour the way I wanted it mounted and powered.Display is a little small, but the picture was pretty good considering this is a $70 unit. The night vision, however, was useless. Unless theres an adjustment or Mode that needs to be turned on, I was unable to see anything in the trailer with the lights off and door closed. So for my purpose, when towing, I will just keep the interior light on in the trailer. With the light on, its a pretty good picture.

Could be a hassle to install
Now that I've finally gotten this device to work, I'd say that it's pretty good. Getting to this point, however, was no fun and took weeks. Some of the buttons on the back of the monitor don't work that well, some not at all. Several correspondence exchanges with the company finally resolved a series of issues keeping it less than operational. The issues included getting an obsolete "manual" with the original unit, getting a slightly updated one that still didn't handle the problems, and finally getting the real solution via email, which should have been an integral part of the manual itself but was nowhere to be found in either. The first few responses from the company simply quoted the manual, which was no help at all. As noted, however, after several exchanges, the issues were finally resolved. You decide if you think 3 weeks of back and forth is worth it.

Rear view camera for my camper
I installed this unit on the license plate of my 15 foot trailer camper. I was able to route the wire up through the license plate light. The transmitter was mounted inside a storage compartment and power is via a cigarette adapter. The monitor is in my RAV4. I tried the unit for the first time today driving home from the dealer in the rain. The picture was solid and provided a wide angle view similar to looking in both rear view mirrors at the same time, with of course the ability to see directly in back of the camper. Remember that due to the wide view "objects are closer than they appear". I turned the guide lines off for driving. They were helpful for backing into my driveway at home. I hope to try backing into a campsite in the next couple weeks. So far so good. I'll update as I use this further.

POOR Engineering
I dislike the fact that the wire from the backup lamp to the transmitter were way to short I needed to add 5 feet more wire. (2), The wire clips they send for connecting the wires together are also junk and cheap. I ended up using sodering gun and heat shrink. I installed the unit on a 2003 GMC Envoy

Much better than expected.
The installation instructions could be better. I had to get tech help for an issue. It was resolved easily. The camera and monitor work well.

GREAT CAMERA
The camera works great. Had to buy a 90 degree SMA adapter to bring the antenna closer to the monitor. Had a clearance problem utilizing an existing mounting pad on the dash. Had to fabricate a mounting plate to mount under the bed of a pickup truck because of the push button on the harness.

Junk
Product didn’t work. The directions are incomplete. I found that out by looking at google reviews. I emailed tech support (email only option) and they were slow to respond (days at a time) and would only respond with more questions. I am returning item.
