Solid piece of forged metal
It was a little loose in the receiver on my Ridgeline, and probably way overkill, but as the description states, it is a solid piece of forged metal and the receiver would probably rip out of the truck before this would fail.

HEAVY duty.
I've now gotten several uses out of this tow hitch, and it's certainly doing the job!Much heavier than I expected, but that's do to being a solid piece of cast metal, not just a hollow tube construction like many others. It was quite easy to attach an appropriate size ball, and the lock pin I bought fits quite snugly thru the hole, leaving very little wiggle room for the pin.Overall, great product!

Heavy duty!!
This is one heavy duty hitch receiver. Max rated for 16k lb towing but I will never get close to that. I bought this so I didnt have to worry about being over tongue weight whether I haul my SxS or a car or dump trailer. The paint and finishing of the receiver is rough from the casting marks being cleaned up at the factory but this is a tool so I dont need it to be pretty.

Worth every penny.
Been using this hitch every weekend to haul water. Lots of weight has been on it...no sign of breakage/damages so far! Itβs a lot heavier than my old hitch which will hopefully make it more durable and last longer than my old hitch.

2 years later still happy and going strong
I have several hitches in different sizes and ratings to accommodate all my trailers and different towing vehicles. Never been a fan of the loose adjustable hitches, so solid ones like this Reese is what I prefer.. Nice and solid fit in my 2" receiver on a truck lifted 3". Would definitely recommend!

This thing is really sturdy (and heavy)
I wish it fit a little more precisely into the receiver, but I've never heard any noise from it bouncing around. It IS very heavy, and our trailer has about 500 pounds on the ball when empty, so I don't see any need to shim the ball mount. If you're towing a trailer with a light hitch weight, you may experience some slop, but you also don't need this ball mount which takes a 2 5/16" ball for that kind of load. I'm happy with the purchase...very strong and a good price.

Awesome ball mount
Reese is a leader in the towing industry and you can't get any heavier duty than this ball mount. Always exceed your for load, but this is way more than the load I needed. Solid stock and a huge !glad rating. Love it, and feel comfortable towing my Hot Rod with this.

Used this with Curt trailer ball to tow Uhaul trailer. Perfect!
We got this hitch to tow a uhaul car trailer carrying a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with our 2016 Chevy Silverado. We also bought the Curt 40090 trailer ball to go with it. This hitch was the right amount of drop for the uhaul trailer (according to uhaul site) and it's one reason we settled on it. It can also be reversed. Also the good reviews helped us decide on this one. It hasn't yet rusted on us but we don't leave it on. Only used it once so far but it did great. It's very well crafted and heavy duty. I hope this helps!

lost by shipper 2x
Houdini hitch I call it. The shipper needs to pack this hitch a little better, as receiving box with giant hole is not great.Hitch is well built and installs with ease.
