There is a refined difference between Eden Soy Shoyu and the Shoyu we get from Whole Foods. When the taste of soy is "naked" - without additives of any sort - there is a noticeable difference. Eden Soy is definitely better. If I am making something with soy sauce that calls for a lot of additives, like miren, garlic, lots of sesame oil, etc., then the Whole Foods brand does a great job.It's kind of like liquor. If you're sipping straight liquor, you want the best. If you're making a mixed drink, there's no point to using the best, as the superior qualities of the best are masked by the added mixers.

I use soy sauce on a regular basis, and Eden brand is the best for a Japanese style (thicker) soy sauce. It is better than Kikkoman, though much more expensive. The fact that it is organic, is just a bonus. I have used Kikkoman exclusively for decades, but Eden is the best.

Headline says it all. If you think all soy sauce is the same, you need to try this. This is a VERY different soy sauce with a wonderful flavor all its own. Highly recommended.

This Soy Sauce is, in my opinion, perfect. I wanted a Japanese style Soy Sauce that was nearly but not quite as sweet and thick tasting as Kikkoman (which I have long enjoyed). This is it. I love Kikkoman for marinating, but when it comes to plain or fried rice it is a little overpowering. Shoyu is now what I use for rice and dipping sauces.

The best soy sauce ever!! It's really mild not as salty as regular soy sauce such as Kikkoman. I don't think I'll ever go back to other soy sauces.

Bought locally, but everyone needs to know that what's currently shipping out from Eden Foods is sub-standard to what they used to ship. It's now more watered down and less salty.
