This is the best book I have ever for for propagation of so many kinds.

I previewed 5 books on plant propagation from our local library prior to purchasing "Plant Propagation A to Z". This book may not be the best for those very knowledgeable in plant propagation but it is a great resource book for anyone with less than expert knowledge. It does cover most of the ways that a person can propagate plants and contains the information you need to start or divide plants. My personal interest is in starting seeds in a small greenhouse. I purchased it only a few weeks ago and have already used it many times.

I purchased three books on the subject of Plan Propagation. I think this is the best of the three. I'm new to learning about this subject and this book is very clear and to the point. I hate books that ramble on and talk about personal stories in the middle of the info you want. This book doesn't do that. I give it an extra star, just for that! I think I'll be using this book for years to come.

This book is one of the best I've seen on any subject, it's about propagating plants and is extremely thorough in many of the species of plants to propagate and instructions on how to do it. It also gives detailed information about how difficult or easy each variety of plant is to propagate, different methods to be considered for each specie of plant and expected time for the plant to root, etc., and if using seeds, germination times for all the plants listed. Fantastic book!

Very good reference book. It provides plenty of specific examples on how to propagate individual plants. It also does a very good job of explaining the different ways of propagation.

Book on plant propagation is very helpful. When I was a teenager W did bud-grafting IE 1200/8HR shift on fruit trees. We also did top grafting of apple and peach near Hilsboro OR. I have used rooting hormone for Magnolia Virginia-wild and are happy with results here in Spring TX..I would advise this for expanding hortaculture for anyone. Learning latin names of cultivars is always interesting for me in system established By Karl the Sweed.

Every gardener should have this if you want to propagate plants. You can save an immense amount of money.
