DormCo Suprima Extra Height Mini Shelf Supreme - White

I was hesitant after reading the reviews of assembly. I have to say that you need 2 people to put this together. It only took us 5 minutes and the hardest part was getting the shelves over the top (we are both short) otherwise this was simple to put together and take apart. No tools needed. It was very sturdy and fit perfectly over the fridge/microwave combo. We did not use 1 of the shelves, as it better suited our needs to use just 3 shelves. There were times during the year where my daughter had lots of cans (soups, etc) and there were no problems with the sturdiness. This shelving unit was a great purchase for her dorm and we are glad we got it.

I took away a star ⭐️ because it was difficult and more time consuming than we thought to put it together. Well, it took 3 of us to hold the polls straight and re-read the ‘simple’ directions to attach everything in the proper way...and it felt really inexpensive until it was all together...but then it felt pretty sturdy. It’s been a few days and it hasn’t fallen apart, so we are hopeful that although it was a pain to put together that it will last a very long time. We also bought (separately) the adjustable shelf liners for wire shelves so things wouldn’t fall through.On the positive side, these are metal, heavy, pretty-sturdy shelves and you can attach magnets to the side if you want. We also liked the adjustable pegs on the bottom so it could be level.My pro-tip #1 on putting this together is to make sure those levelers are all at the same starting height as you start to put it together. Pro-tip #2 is to have at least 1 helper to help you. I think the reason it is harder than similar shelves I’ve used is that the bottom is open to fit the dorm fridge, so the shelves do not get steady until you have the bottom and the next shelve installed.Hoping my son has these for his 4 years of college and beyond.Update: Dec 2020: This has been one of the most essential pieces of furniture in my son’s dorm room. With all the covid restrictions, he has kept more food in his room than anticipated and this shelving unit has held up well so far in his first semester.

I read some reviews that made me nervous about how sturdy this shelf would be. It is as sturdy as I would expect a tall, narrow shelf to be. It does what we purchased it to do. It holds the microwave above a mini-fridge and provides a LOT of storage above that. Put most of the weight on the bottom shelves and secure it to the wall so it won't tip.Two people are needed to assemble it but it wasn't a long process. I have assembled other, larger shelves of similar construction.

During the assembly the shelves bent easily trying to hammer pieces together.

Product took some time to assemble, but my sister and I eventually got it. As we we’re screwing in the poles we realizes that one of the slots were bent and the white paint on the metal were scraped off on some parts.

Love tbis for extra storage on my daughter's dorm room.Perfect for Keirig, coffee supplies, snacks, and TV in her dorm room. Was perfect use of space over her mini fridge!We used zip ties to ensure the TV stayed snug on the top. We also used zip ties to tie the cords to the unit so they weren't just hanging out all over. It looked really neat.

Perfect for dorm room. Fits right over frig. Plenty of space for microwave, Keurig and extra snacks and supplies. More than I wanted to spend for a dorm shelf but it's perfect.
