Location, Location, Location.
The bar is great, sturdy, easy to assemble (as long as you have another tool than the one provided), and multi-functional. The saftey wedge - needs work. If you live in a brand-new house that hasn't been painted 10,000 times, amybe it will slip right in behind your door trim. Not so much in a house built in the sixties. So, a razor knife, palette knife, rubber mallet, wood block, and half hour of frustration later, I determined there was zero chance I was going to get this flimsy piece of metal behind my door trim without destroying it. Needs to be far more rigid to install. The next issue - scout your residence well. These units aren't for every home. All of my doorways are too close to the corners of the rooms to make the unit fully functional(See Photos). I can still use it as a push-up and sit-up unit, but the door thing will have to wait for my next place. So if your doors:\ A. Don't have trimB.Are super close to the cornersC.Aren't convenient to use from the 'outer' sideThis may not be the unit for you. Otherwise a well-made unit.

2 pcs = bar + resitance band
Why assume that "2 pcs" means "two pieces of the same thing" as opposed to "two pieces of the advertised product" just because the rest of the population does? WWEBWD (what would E.B.White do?)10mm socket works to assemble the bar parts. Mine had an extra set of nuts/bolts/etc, so sorry if someone got none due to that. Assembly was 10-20 min.One design flaw was the short coupling overlap that leaves some wiggle in the center. This gives the main bar a 'flimsy' feel but can probably be fixed by tapping 4 holes along the overlap with screws at 90 degree offsets. There's no manufacturer provision in the hollow plastic pad that touches the wall above the door for a secure/permanent installation. Long screws & large washers is maybe what they recommend; dunno, didn't ask.Another issue is how close you are to the wall, door frame & ceiling while doing pull/chin ups. Luckily, on mine, the curved handles are 16in apart, so it should be possible to wall-mount the bar (if that's the spacing of your wall studs too).If you're more than 180 lbs (81 Kg, 13 stone) mass and/or 6 ft (1.8 m, 3.3 cubit) height, it might be best to look for (or build) some other, more rugged, solution for pull-ups. If you've already got one, maybe get/make a 1" (3.3 cm) diameter dowel (Ash preferably) the length of the long handle and use it in place of said handle. All things considered, I'm glad to have it if only for dips & push-ups. Now my "get in shape" oath can forgotten long before the new year. It's just nice to be ahead sometimes. By the time y'all are giving up I'll be using the pull-up bar to hang clothes on by the folding table. ~ciao

Solid Pull Up Bar
Solid pull up bar. I've had the ones from the "Seen on TV" infomercials. This is a comparable product. Assembly is easy out the box, took me maybe 5 minutes with no additional tools required. It fit my door frame just fine. However, with all of these, you have to accept the risk that your frame could be damaged from chronic use. The last bar I used left a dent in the door frame. The padding will eventually wear out too, but it may be salvaged with some duct tape.As for using the bar itself, a pull up is a more advance move that already requires some base strength. This is where the band comes in. You can help offset some of your weight. In terms of using it on the ground, I think it's excellent for someone like me who has had wrist injuries before. It's much more comfortable on my wrists to be in a neutral alignment than the push-up positions on the ground where they're fully extended back. You can also use the band for various pulling exercises, such as rows and pulls. Overall, if you have these two items, you've got a great start to doing some bodyweight exercises.

Sturdy, yet easy to take down and then hang back up!
Sturdy, yet easy to take down and put back up. I "hang" a lot for back traction. This little bar is tall enough that my husband doesn't have to duck under it, yet easy for me to grab and hang. Feels very safe to use and not worry about falling!

Great product.
This product is great. I bought it for my boyfriend to do a couple of exercises. I ended it up using it myself. It comes with a book that gives you a couple of exercise ideas. SO far it has worked great and we love it. The band is cool to have to create other exercises. I highly recommended. Looks very durable!

Dangerous and ineffective.
This is not safe and clearly not effective. They give you a “safety wedge” to prevent this from falling off your wall. Two pull ups in and the safety wedge broke and the entire thing came crashing down. Would not waste your money on this. You’ll probably end up spending more in repairing your molding.

Great bar, and helpful assistance band included!
This bar is awesome! I wasn’t quite sure how it would work, if it would fall or not stay in the doorframe. But it’s great! So excited to work on my upper body strength. And I’m glad it included a strap, to help me with some assistance as I build up.
