Linda has been overlooked!
I'm glad someone wrote something positive about her She was an amazing wife and mother who held everything together for Paul. She was a blessing for him.

Wonderful Portrait of a Wonderful Person
A beautiful book—I couldn't put it down. The author Danny Fields, using an intimate conversational form, speaks to you like a friend. What I found incredibly effective is how Fields paints a picture of a person that is a gigantic historical figure, the wife of a Beatle—and helps us to get to know a warm, friendly, giving, and unique person far beyond her association with Paul McCartney. After finishing the book, I had a living sense of regret at having never met this wonderful person, so different from the woman that received so much criticism as someone that "stole Paul" and ostensibly destabilised the Beatles. Instead, we meet a person most comfortable out of the spotlight—on a remote farm in Scotland, tending horses or making a cup of coffee for a guest. A fantastic mother, a great listener, a patient wife, a rock solid friend. A creative person: a brilliant photographer whose deep empathy and humanity caught rock stars' most human aspects. A passionate crusader for animal rights, a promoter of vegetarianism as a way to save animal lives, a passion where every single animal saved counted. And a savvy businessperson, launching a hugely successful line of frozen vegetarian meals. The author's sense of deep personal loss is palpable, and this translates into a personal tone that allows us to get to know this wonderful human being. Fields is also excellent at providing context about the mood of the times and who was who, like someone taking your arm at a party and telling you all about the guests. A fabulous book that I feel really lucky to have decided to read, and my deepest respect to the author: Thank you!!!

Enjoyable and Interesting
As a diehard Beatles fan, and most especially a McCartney fan, I've always been interested in anything related to Paul or Linda. I've read several books about the Beatles and Paul, and was excited to find a book on Linda. I enjoyed reading this, getting a glimpse of Linda's background, her early years, life as a renowned photographer, years with Paul, and her devotion to vegetarian and animal causes. Some of it was a little plodding, but on the whole it read smoothly and held my interest. I loved getting to know Linda up close and personal. She was an amazing woman who I will always admire!

Lots of Love for Linda
This was a lovely tribute to Linda who was not only greatly underrated in her time, she was savaged by tiny minded critics. Although the author takes a few cheap pot shots at Linda's husband, it makes the author look much worse than Paul. It surprises no one to read that Paul McCartney can be a handful. Most geniuses are. But Linda was totally devoted to him, their children, and their lives together. She comes off as a wonderful person, a likeable, honorable, passionate, and talented woman unlike you'll read about in the average Paul McCartney bio.

The Story of a Fascinating Woman
This book was a labor of love. The movie is a good replication of the book but without the details. I’ve so enjoyed reading it that it will never be leant out overnight. I like the movie too, and wonder why Amazon does not sell a DVD of it.

If you want to learn detailed information on Linda McCartney, then this book is for you.
I loved this book! Had a hard time putting it down & I didn't want it to end. I've followed the Beatles since 1964, so when Paul married Linda, I also followed their love story. She was truly an amazing woman. Yes, I recommend this book. Danny Fields is a excellent author when it comes to biographies .

Boring Book
I was really disappointed. I thought Linda's story would be fascinating, and it may have been, but not in this book. I found it to be very boring, with too many trivial details.

Great book about Phenomenal Woman
Very well-written and informed. It reflects her story honestly, telling the good and the not-so-good about her. A very inspiring book about an incredible woman! 10/10 would recommend.
