You WILL have a hard time finding earbuds as good and affordable as these
You WILL have a hard time finding earbuds as good and affordable as these.First, let me say that I'm kind of an audiophile. While I'm not completely familiar with all terminology that comes with sound mixing and such, I believe that I know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to describing sound quality. Second, I might be a little biased because I'm a huge fan of Sennheiser and their products, but they're one of the leading brands in the industry so there's some credibility behind that. These earbuds are by far the best set of earbuds for $60 or less I've ever put into my ears. I also own a pair of Sennheiser CX 150s (discontinued) that I've had for about 4 years now, and until I bought these CX 5.00is, I thought THOSE were the best pair of affordable earbuds that I've ever used, so I definitely had high expectations when I made this purchase. I did some research on Google to see what are the best affordable earbuds on the market today, so I had a little help, and with my personal bias, Sennheiser was what caught my eye vs. most other brands, even Bose. The levels on these buds are just right for my ears and, hopefully for most people, near perfect. They're definitely bass heavy, but don't let that turn you off because it balances excellently with the lows, mids, and incredibly-crisp highs. The ear pieces that come with the package are in different sizes: small, regular, large. I find that the regular size fits perfectly and comfortably in my ear, but if you don't find that comfort then at least you have some options to swap out with! In terms of noise-canceling, they definitely seal a good amount of outside sound from your ears, but there is a slight amount of leakage that is easily able to be looked past. Of course, you would need to turn up the volume on your music to truly determine and experience the quality of the earbuds, so outside noise would be a problem anyway. I haven't tried yet, but I believe these should be able to battle airplane noise. All of that comes together to produce a sound that is so near-perfectly-balanced for any type of music that you listen to, whether bass-heavy hip hop or EDM to mellow indie and acoustic tracks. Basically, these earbuds don't favor a certain genre and are very universal. The flat-wire style is very useful as it reduces the chances of it getting tangled. The volume control and mic remote on the wire works perfectly fine, especially with Siri as this version (500i) is the iOS version, so I'm assuming the Android version should work with whatever Android uses for voice command. Not many people are too fond of the L-shaped connector used on this and most old-fashioned earphones/buds but I absolutely think it's more convenient and protective for your cable than just a normal straight-out-shot connector.Pros:- Excellent sound- Comfortable- Durable- Stylish (at least I think the white one is)- Comes with 2-year warranty in the package- Comes with extra earbud replacements at different sizes- AffordableCons:- None at the moment really, if anything the rubber material that coats the wire is a bit firm, but that's not a problem at all whatsoever. Just personal preference.I'm really not sure why people are giving this 3 stars or less and complaining about different aspects of this product. You all probably got defective units because these are flat-out amazing. Conclusion:These are hands-down one of the best earbuds you can ever buy, aside from it being affordable at only $60. If I had more money I'd buy another pair! You're 100% guaranteed to be better of buying a pair of these than spending $100+ on some trashy Power Beats (yes they are trash, don't let anyone tell you otherwise) or any Beats for that matter. I know the Apple earpods are affordable at only $30 and the sound quality is actually pretty good with those as well, but $60 for these, you will be stepping up your sound game at most-definitely decent price. I can't imagine listening to music without these amazing things. This is a MUST-BUY for anyone who really wants to unlock the potential of their music sound quality without spending too much of the moneys. Sennheiser FTW again!!!

Sennheiser quality
I got these earbuds for my son, at his request.I can be proud of him and his taste because this is a real good choice. To start, Sennheiser has a great reputation for headphones with their flagship (HD800) considered for many years as maybe the best dynamic headphones on the market. Why would you want to buy these Sennheiser earphones CX 5.00i ?- Excellent sound. Good and punchy bass, good mids and trebles.- Excellent sound isolation. It is imperative to achieve a good seal to get the isolation and the good sound.- Price is very reasonable for this quality.- Resistance to damage. He has been using it for 2 and half years already and on a daily basis. With good care, it is still looking great and sounding great too.- It has a remote and a mic, both working well.- The cables are non tangling.Just one downside with the mic: It is not noise cancelling so in case of wind, the wind noise may interfere a lot with the conversation. In conclusion: excellent earphones. 5 stars.

Had these for Nearly a Year!
These headphones are only starting to break down after nearly a year. Way longer than any other headphones I've had. The design is nice and sound is very high quality. The remote is fine however my brother got the same pair, and his remote no longer works. I've had this with many headphones so I think it's mostly luck. The fit is okay but not for running. The headphones have started to show age with the cable. The end towards the 3.5mm jack is becoming frayed and wires are exposed. The angled jack is fine for some phone cases and I usually prefer it, but chunkier phone cases will have a harder time.Overall awesome headphones. Sennheiser is awesome. I probably could have taken better care of them.

Bad value
Let me start this review by saying these are very good headphones, but simply overpriced. I've been using Sennheiser products for years and just recently decided to "update" to a new set (The 5.00G) for my android phone.Quality:The quality of the buds themselves are very low. It feels like they'll break by simply dropped them, or pushing too hard on them. The part that appears to be stainless steel is actually very crude chinese plastic. Upon closer inspection, the plastic trim isn't smooth - you can see very small jagged edges around the trim. The part that connects to the speaker input is very good quality however! Which is good seeing as that's a very likely to break area on earbuds. The cord also appears to be thick and hard to tangle which is a good addition.Microphone:These headphones have a built in microphone with voice control. The problem is.. Well it's very sensitive and the sound quality is terrible. It also picks up sound from one of the earbuds rather then on the small control panel (Which would of made more sense IMO).Sound Quality:The sound isn't bad, but it's not perfect. It's what i would expect from 30$ earbuds (And is better then beat earbuds). However, i feel it's relative CX 300 II sounds almost exactly the same aside from a small extra crispness from these.Convert:These headphones after a long time of being in your ear feel fine. You wont have an achy ear or annoying ichy sensation after awhile of constant use.Value:The overall value of these headphones is around $40. The current price is outragous. I highly recommend you take a look at the CX 300 II model before buying these. You're basically paying an extra $60 for a little extra sound quality and voice control. I simply feel these earbuds wont last more then a month or two.

Quality Headphones Worth The Extra
These have become my go-to for earphones since I got my first pair a couple of years ago. A very comfortable fit in the ears, I've worn mine for several hours before they started to become uncomfortable. Great sound quality compared to the majority of big named brands, great noise cancellation so you don't have to share your music or podcast with the people around you. They are worth paying the extra for.

Second pair; same fault
One ear stopped working after a few months. Second pair to do this. Don't waste your money - dreadful brand experience for Sennheiser; what are they thinking???

They always break
I have broken so many of these headphones. Buy shares in Sennheiser and keep the process of planned obsolescence alive. The hard waste just keeps growing. Maybe you aren't supposed to sleep in them.
