Jonsered GT2125, 17 in. 28cc 2-Cycle Gas Curved Shaft String Trimmer

This is a Husqvarna unit. Just different branding. First, I opened the instructions, read them, and followed. surprise! it started up but didn't idle, so I remember reading in the instructions that we would need to adjust the idle screw. Clearly written in the instructions, and so I did, and it runs smooth, quiet and had no issues. Now, I did fill it with PRE-MIXED gas, bought at big box stores, 92 octane with 50:1 ratio, ethanol shield, and stabil already mixed up. Yes it is expensive, but I've used it for years and have had NO issues with 2 cycle motors ever since. I have the older Husqvarna curved shaft unit that I've been using for 6 years (which this unit is the same thing) and filled it with the same pre-mixed fuel.... starts, runs, works just like the old one. I'm replacing the old unit as I installed a brush cutter type blade which was too much for the clutch and burned it out a little. My fault, not the unit. From my experience with this unit, I expect another 6+ years trouble free operation with a little maint, and using pre-mixed fuel. I live in south Florida and use it 48 weeks of the year on a regular size home lot. Starting it weekly will help with reliability too.

Unable to get the engine to idle down. It runs at two speeds, high and higher. The shaft gets very hot, uses a lot of string that is a "pain" to load, and the string guard is flimsy.Very disappointed with the engine idle issue The trimmer is not worth the money and headaches, so it is being returned. Will not buy again.

I write few reviews but I am sooo disappointed in this purchase I felt I needed to.This is a poor excuse for a line trimmer; I bought it because of the brand name thinking it would be good.The advertisement/listing did what it was supposed to ...sucked me in.After this purchase I won't touch another Jonsered product period.1. this thing is heavy, for as small of an engine and as under powered it is, it is just heavy.2 . It is very under powered, you have to wait for it to get up to speed before you try and use it then you have to keep waiting for it after you start trimming, it overheated and quit on my wife,my wife just came in after using it and said we are getting another trimmer period.3. It is hard to start, for supposedly having some easy start feature, it is harder to start than a regular one.I didn't listen to the negative reviews and was burned...You have been warned.

Bought as a Christmas present for my girlfriend back in Aug. Big mistake. Just took out of the box in early March (no need for it in winter) and a) gas cap won’t seal (so it leaks gas), and b) it won’t start (as the primer pump won’t pickup any gas). Suspect the 2 issues may be related. The feel of the unit is cheap compared to my Hitachi. Can’t recommend this brand, model or item.

I really love the line loading mechanism which snaps and off I go. I got mine from the warehouse and they forgot one bolt on the bottom which luckily I had an extra but seriously they need to measure twice and cut once over their.

After adjusting the carburator it is very powerful and trims even very dense weeds.

Starts with no trouble but string tangles frequently

although i haven't used it yet.judging by how it feels...control layout...and ease of starting...i am going to love this machine.i have two sears weed wackers and both of them are nothing but junk.you can't go wrong with this machine.
