Feather MR3 Neo Razor

I couldn't be more pleased with this Razor! My only regret is that I did obtain it sooner! This is by far the best razor I have ever used. It is substantial in weight, balanced and most effective and efficient to shave with. Combined with the world's best razor blades, also made by Feather, I get the closest and smoothest shave in less time and without nicks or annoying drag. What was a "chore" with shaving has now become a relaxing and refreshing "pleasure." I bought a second one and packed it ready for travel.

Didn’t work well for me. Wasn’t nearly as comfortable vs. a Gillette fusion, missed whiskers, caused irritation. Thought it might be a good razor to use while traveling, but the reality didn’t match the hype. Good handle though.*NOTE - having used aggressive razors for many years with quality soaps and brushes means that I’ve mapped the beard and mastered technique. I know how to get a great shave w/o irritation - and only use cartridges while traveling and carrying-on. IME the Gillette fusion works as I expect for about 6 shaves, then starts to deteriorate. The MR3 never felt good and always caused irritation. Trashed it after three shaves.

Given it's Feather, I guess I expected more. The best Gillette is easier to buy and with the Fusion ProGlide Power I think the Gillette is a superior product. It's not bad, just not as good and I hoped for more.

Doing some literal side by side comparisons with the Mach 3, and will be doing side by sides with the Defender soon.I had considered the Mach 3 to be the gold standard of replaceable blade razors. Used them for years till the blade replacement cost got out of hand. I switched to de shaving, but now am considering replaceable blade razors for special events or sunday church service for a better, faster, easier shave with less chance of nicks to supplement my de use.This MR3 Neo, with the roller blade, is very smooth and comfortable. The entire razor has a good weight and feel to it that the Mach 3 does not have. The MR3 is easier to hold and control. Wasnt sure about the blade guards these blades have, but they appear to work. I feel safer to use this than the mach. Just a great weight, feel, and control feeling I get.As far as shave quality, its about the same as the mach. After a day, the stubble feels and sounds about the same. Thats a wash.Blade cost is about the same, another wash.The downside may be availability, and or deliverability of these blade replacements. This razor came from Japan, and I think it literally came on a slow boat from China (or Japan in this instance). Blade delivery also from the orient? But not a problem If you stock up I guess. Perhaps I can find a supplier here in the US to deliver faster.Four stars for the heft, weight, feel and comfort of this razor. Dropping a star because of the availability, or overseas ordering that may need to be done. Cant get at my local Dollar General or Walmart.

The absolute best cartridge razor on the market worldwide, and believe I have spent a fortune trying them all! This razor will give you quick, clean and super close shave in no time. The holder and spare cart are also awesome. Gillette needs to take note on this one!!!

Great razor. The head pivots in 4 directions. Up down and side to side. You can switch the up down pivot off. It has its own stand and 2 extra blades. Very sharp, shaves very close and appears to be lasting longer than other blades. I have a beard and with this I can easily shave around the edges and see where I am going. Highly recommended.

i could not shave with it. i tried alot, but nothing worked

Nicely engineered with the best handle ever, but the safety wires over the blades prevent it from giving me a close shave.
