An Islay bargain belter. Rollin' thunder, fire 'n' rain!
Top notch expression from the masters of smoke and no mirrors! It's got fire and brimstone that puts it closer to its neighbour Corryvreckan, though it's a little sweeter and not quite as complex. It's got that wonderful briny hit on the palate that gets the juices going, and just spices and smokes its way to a long Islay finish. Fabulous stuff, and at nearly half the price of the Ardbeg NAS family, it's a steal. Some might complain it's a little too brawny, mistakenly thinking it's too young, but those small barrels certainly do their trick.
