Great replacement
This was a perfect replacement part! The blades were sharp, and it turned smoothly. My previous cutter assembly had locked up from rust due to soaking the container in the sink. Just a bit of advice.....don't do that.Anyway, my Hamilton Beach blender is a Model# 52252, type B20. When I searched for a replacement part online I couldn't find any information that perfectly matched my model, so I hope my stating this information helps someone in the future. If you don't know where to find your model number, try turning your blender motor portion upside down and looking for a tag on the bottom.Another bit of information: I saw in another post that someone suggested using two rubber washer rings to help the cutter assembly fit correctly. Something about distance from the gears, as I took it. Since the place I was purchasing the cutter assembly from also offered the ring I went ahead and purchased both. It was only a dollar for the ring itself, and I still had the original ring so I figured it couldn't hurt. If I understood the description of the process correctly, you're supposed to place one ring under the cutter assembly and one ring on top to achieve the necessary distance. I tried blending water with only the one ring on top of the assembly, and tried blending water with both rings. With both rings it leaked water badly out of the bottom. The seal must not be good that way. I'm glad I only used water rather than having to clean up sticky margarita mix. With the one ring placed between the assembly and the glass container it sealed and worked perfectly well. I noticed the assembly gears were longer than the originals, but that doesn't seem to cause a problem; the container sits firmly on the motor and doesn't rock. My conclusion is that for this model it's unnecessary to use two washer rings. The original washer is starting to get that gross oil forming on it from the rubber, so maybe I'll use the extra one to replace it.I hope this helps. It's a better deal to buy one of these than a new blender.

Works Great With 2 O-rings and New Bottom Base Screw Cap
While I had the motor, glass jar, and lid for a very old glass Hamilton Beach blender, I needed the entire bottom assembly - cutter, ring and screw cap.Although skeptical that anything fabricated today would actually fit and work for a what might be a forty-year old blender, thanks to the reviews here I bought this blender cutter assembly, one Bottom Base Screw Cap for Hamilton Beach Blender , and two instead of just one Replacement Hamilton Beach blender o-ring seal. I can report that the reviewer who recommended getting two o-rings instead of one was absolutely correct. With 2 o-rings the cutter assembly fits and works perfectly. (Without using the second o-ring to raise the cutting assembly up a fraction of an inch higher in the screw cap, the seating was unstable.)As to the blade assembly itself, while it may look thin, it works very well. I blend a smoothie using ice cubes, water, protein powder and fruit every morning without problem. The blade is definitely up to the job. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5-star rating is because it does need the second o-ring for my old blender and, without that o-ring, it's not a perfect fit. This was a great way to save and recycle an old blender that looks as though it has many more years - if not decades - left in it.Amazon, as usual, shipped quickly and on time, exactly as promised. Really, it's amazing. I received the three different parts from three different states in the same day.Kudos to Amazon for a great solution, great prices, and on-time shipping. Thanks especially to all who provided thoughtful reviews of these products. You really helped when it came time to make a decision. You all rock.

Must use blade for Hamilton Beech, quality of blade not great
I had a hamilton beach blender/mixer for many years, an inexpensive model I bought as a student. I used it for many years until it fell during transportation and cracked. I decided to buy another Hamilton. This time around I was disappointed with the blender. On close examination I found my newer "better" model and more expensive model had a blade that was not effective. The cutter part of the blade points upwards and just does not grind hard things like coconut etc. Worked fine for liquids. I researched some and found that others had similar problems. I finally found this blade, which is the original blade that Hamilton Beach had. No idea why they changed the blade. Now the blender works like a charm. The only problem to note is that the quality of blade is not great. It is chipped a little, so I have to be careful while handling the blade. The blade could have been a little better forged.

Useable replacement but durability remains to be seen.
Got this to replace OEM blades that had frozen on an old blender from the 1970's. They fit OK and do not leak. I looked at other reviews before puraching this because the restaurant grade unit got bad reviews for premature failure.I've been using this cutter assemebly for a few months on an intermittant basis, and it works OK.One questionable issue is that there is a black substance laking out of the bottom of the assembly where the impeller meshes with the driving element on the blender motor base unit. I have been unable to determine what it is, and it doesn't seem to come off with soap and water, although it will wipe off with a rag or paper towel. The substance is only on the OUTSIDE , and does not contact food or affect taste. It could be that some plastic bit is getting hot and melting when in use.I'll update here if the status changes. Otherwise, I'll continue to use it.
