Viridian C5 Universal Sub-Compact Green Laser Sight

It's green over red if you want to also be able to use it outside in the daytime. The C5 looks good and is made with high grade materials. It form fits snug under the FN57 rail up to the trigger guard and comes with a few extra rail mounts for a variety ofoptions. A well thought out design; the on / off buttons are perfect, on the left and right. It has (2) settings; constant on and pulsing mode. It can be very quickly activated and does well in a holster. If breaking in a leather holster, just take care that the rubbergasket material isn't protruding too much. With a bit of patience breaking in a Stoner leather holster for the FN57, using a large ZipLock bag and about (3) coats of their leather treatment; it now holsters with ease. Viridian makes the TacLoc Holster for the C5and other laser / light combos; just not the FN57 yet. I did like the smaller size and low profile of the LaserMax LMS Uni-Green onthe FN57 for home defense. But it's on / off switch wasn't designed with holstering in mind. You pay a good 100.00 more for the smaller size, it just has a pulsing mode and I believe it has a shorter battery life. Care should be taken when threading in the battery cap on the C5; it should track better as the threading's are broken in. Viridian also has a A+ Customer Service Department.

I bought this for a CZ 75 full sized pistol. It has a fairly large tactical rail and this item comes with 3 different rail adapters, so I knew fitment wouldn't be a problem. I ended up reversing the longest adapter and it fit perfectly with the activation button just in front of the trigger guard.The first one I received wouldn't adjust windage and from what I've read, quality control is questionable on these, but once you get a good one, you will appreciate it instantly. Took it to the range and got it zeroed after putting a few clips through it. At 25 yards I was putting the bullets dead on where the laser painted the target. I was punching holes through the circles on the number 8 (CHL silhouette targets) and consider myself just above a beginning shooter. This laser really makes it feel like cheating. The laser itself is very bright and well defined although I have not tried it in daylight. It held the zero I set through 100 rounds and I don't see it drifting anytime soon. The unit is also lightweight and on a fairly heavy steel gun I doubt you will even notice it's there.Despite the QC problems, I still stand by a 5 star rating for this product. If it weren't for Amazon's incredible replacement policy and turn around time (shipped overnight the same day I reported the problem) I would have docked it to 4 stars. Highly recommend this laser.

I purchased the Veridian C5 Universal Sub-Compact Green Laser Sight for my FN 9MM. I tried other sites and they don't begin to compare with the Veridian. Very compact and easy to use. Visible at night and during the day. I liked it so much I purchase two more for my family members. The stobe light alone will scare any intruder enough that you would never have to fire a round.

I had completely forgotten about this horrible piece of trash that I bought several years ago, but I was going through past purchases and saw the entry. Since this was a purchase that caused me much angst, I felt I should post something here. I bought this for my HK USP in .40 S&W.First the good: the laser is brilliant and beautiful, extremely visible even in daylight. If you just want a cool toy handheld green laser, this might be for you. The design of the device seems great, the ambidextrous button controls are nicely placed, the adjustment is easy, and it comes with several mount brackets to make fitting it just right to your firearm pretty easily. I attached it to my USP with an accessory rail (the USP only has two slots on the frame, not a real Picatinny rail) and sighted it in parallel with a boresight that I have for this handgun. Up to this point, everything is working well. So far, so good.Now the bad: I would describe the recoil on my .40 as being moderate. It is snappier and exhibits more muzzle rise than your average 1911 .45, or at least it does in my perception. I think the heavy recoil was causing issues with the laser's electronics, because it would not keep my adjustments or would turn off after actually firing my handgun. At the time I was an avid shooter with an indoor range membership, and I tinkered with this thing on several different occasions trying to get it to work. Invariable it was (1) sight it at home, (2) try it at the range, (3) it loses zero or just stops working after only a few rounds, (4) go home disappointed. I tried different batteries in case that was the issue, but it was not. Eventually the buttons stopped responding also, so 4-5 attempts to turn the thing on had to be made. Sometimes it would be on, and would not turn off. Sometimes it would be off and refuse to turn on. Sometimes it would not change modes when on. Just junk.I guess if you are using this on a BB gun with no recoil it might be OK, but I would never trust my life to this piece of equipment. ~$200 poorly spent, a mistake I will never make again with any Veridian product.

Everything I expected. The lase is quite visible at 20 yard in daylight.
