Difficult to install at first
I used these brackets to install my 16203 NXc running boards on my 2014 GMC Acadia. Amazon stated they would not work on their guide but Deezee confirmed they would. They are installed into holes on the frame of the vehicle and drilling is not needed. The hardware are difficult to install because they somehow expect you to screw a bolt into the provided nut that will be floating inside the hole of your frame at first. I no problems with the rear portions of each running board, but the front mounts gave me trouble. The topmost bolt had nothing it could hit up against to prevent the nut from continuously turning. I located a video on Deezee and they just blow right past this problem like it never happens. I used a screw driver in the same hole on the bottom portion of the bracket to resolve that part, the middle hole hits up against the frame so there wasn't problems there, but the top part required some manipulation. I ended up using some thin metal wires i had from when the power company marked the lines in my yard. Sticking them in the same hole of the top part of the bracket prevented the nut from turning when it struck it, then allowing me to tighten the bolt. Only other problem I noticed was that the black paint on the bracket easily chipped off. The brackets were nice and sturdy and worked well on my year model vehicle. I submitted some pics to show what the end result looked like.

Mounting Frustration....
I installed DeeZee16201 NXC running boards on my 2009 Acadia using these brackets. You install them into pre-exsisting holes in the frame which is a positive due to not needing to drill the frame. The major draw back is the bolts which is almost impossible to install, they expect you to screw a bolt into the provided nut that floats inside your frame. I had problems with all of the bolts and still have one that will not tighten down. the installion video on the Deezee website does not help they just blow right past this step. I contacted DeeZee and they also had no solution to the problem, I used a screw driver in the same hole on the bottom portion of the bracket in order to tighten them down, but the top part required some manipulation. I ended up taking the car to the dealer who was able to tighten down three of the top bolts but even they were unable to get the one of them to tighten down, The brackets look better than the OEM and work well.

Bad design and cheap bolts
Do not even attempt to install the top bolt on these brackets. It will save you a ton of time if you just leave it out. I could not get any of therm to tighten. Also, this hardware is not the best quality, so be careful using air tools. It says specifically in the instructions to use air tools, but my air ratchet stripped the first bolt I used it on without even slowing down. I tightened the rest by hand and I did not like they way they felt.I got them installed, but I will probably add a couple self tapping screws just in case.

Royal Pain To Install, Skip Dee Zee, get Westin
Tried these on my 2008 Acadia. Each bracket has 2 bolts they want you to get through holes that a very small. You must align the bolts just right to get them to slide into place. I struggled with it, then watched a YouTube video of how easy it is to install Westin's running boards and brackets on my Acadia. I sent back the Dee Zee, ordered the Westin and installed them easily. The running boards look better and have a 5 year warranty
