JUST WONDERFUL AND TRUE!
This book is great. It is concise and brief. The recommendations are so simple you will wonder why you even bothered with the dentists in the first place. Media brainwashing, I would have to say now. I have done the 8 steps for about two weeks now and my teeth have improved dramatically. No more bleeding gums and my teeth are whiter. I modified the 8 steps a little bit. I don't use the tongue cleaner. I tried it. I don't see it making much of a difference than just brushing your tongue with your tooth brush. I also alternate organic baking soda and Himalayan salt with a volcanic ash clay for my teeth brushing. And I dip my Neem oil dental floss into a salt water and myrrh oil mixture before I floss. This makes the floss soaked with diluted myrrh and that goes deeper into my gums. And I also rinse with the salt water and myrrh several times while I am doing these steps. It is amazing how well and how fast this regimen has worked. And you can see and feel the difference immediately. I just would like to suggest to the author that she takes that photo off the front cover. She has a very lovely photo in the back of the book that would be much better. Just her face with a toothy grin would have been enough!

Great resource on taking care of your dental health
This book has a lot of information on the anatomy of the mouth/teeth in easy to understand language and I learned a lot from it. For example, each tooth in our mouth is filled with microtubules that if stretched out flat would measure out to be three hundred meters. All that in one tooth! In addition to a lot of great information, I also found this book to be very inspiring, and as a result, I am taking much better care of my teeth. I'm following seven of the eight steps she recommends twice a day most days. I got her product Healthy Gum Drops and am flossing with it twice a day and love it. My teeth and gums look and feel great. I can't recommend this book highly enough!

Teeth Can Heal!!!
The most wonderful news from this book is that teeth can heal! Gums can heal! Author Nadine Artemis has done an excellent job writing this book: concise, easy to read and understand, and with a very positive attitude. Topics cover tooth anatomy written in an easily understood style, how teeth AND CAVITIES can heal, the importance of gum health and how to keep the gums healthy, the importance of alkaline saliva, the importance of a healthy diet, and 8 steps on how to really clean the teeth. She also explains why commercial toothpastes don't help as much as simple baking soda and salt! A very good section on visiting the dentist, and more. This book will give good knowledge of how to keep healthy teeth and gums for a LIFETIME!

Thinly veiled advertising!
I was so excited when I bought this book and started reading it as soon as it arrived. What a disappointment! It turns out that when I bought the book I was actually paying the author to advertise her products to me. The first 5 chapters were fairly readable. The next chapter gave 8 daily steps to successful self-dentistry. In five of these steps you have to use the author's products, often more than one at a time. You are not told what to do if you do not have the serums. There should have been a section on making your own tooth serum. That would have been very empowering. In a chapter on various essential oils the author tells you that combinations of these oils are used in her serums. This is not a book about self-dentistry! It is not even about self-dentistry. It is about a manufacturer using a book to sell her products and about readers paying for the advertising. I shall follow the dietary advice of Ramiel Nagel in his book "Cure Tooth Decay" even if it means I have to go back to eating meat, which I had been trying to avoid.
