Excellent value for the money
The receiver was easy to thread onto the collar after removing the end pieces, then replacing them back on.Both devices charged up well. I like the adjustments for shock and the silicone ends on the receiver options.Pro's: 99 shock levels, Buzz and Beep, both units rechargable using USBCons: The shock level resets to 99 every time the handheld unit is turned on (the reason for only 4 stars)The value for the money is excellentWorks: Using just the beep, our dog, who has been burning through bark collars, stopped immediately. (He figured out the patterns on other collars, bark, wireless fence, getting them to beep and buzz, then stop, to run down the batteries, so he could bark at will, and go where he likes.)You want to avoid using shock in the crate if possible, so the pet doesn't associate the crate with a negative experience. Also, you don't want the pet to see you applying the correction if you can avoid it, so they do not associate the collar corrections with a person, either. You need to research how to use a training collar before using one. The dogs can associate the corrections to the person, and to the location. There can be aggression issues if you depend on negative reinforcement in training primarily. The dog we got this for is stubborn and intelligent. He is well trained in many ways. If we say "crate" he will go to his crate, paw the door open, and go inside sitting waiting for us to come shut him in. he knows commands like "leave it" "sit" "speak" "stay" "come" and more. All taught with positive reinforcement techniques only.I was able to use the beeps twice in a row to correct him from my bed. And, he didn't bark the rest of the night. But, I also followed it up with positive reinforcement for "quiet" throughout the night as well. This is the first time that has worked for all night in 3 years. This will also be used for corrections where getting to him at the time of correction is impossible, so he cannot turn it into a game.Overall, this unit is an excellent value for the money. And, while I'm giving it only 4 stars since the static level resets every time I turn the unit of and back on, to the highest level of shock, it's an excellent training device if used correctly, and in conjunction with positive reinforcement.

Helped with several problems with our stubborn AmStaff.
We love this brand and model. We have a rather stubborn AmStaff and she knows if she has this collar on she has to behave. At night in her heated dog house, if she starts barking my husband can go to the patio door and shine the flashlight onto the hand control or on the collar and she goes back in the dog house and lays down. Not even needing to vibrate or tone. We use it in conjunction with a “Whistle” gps tracking collar that tracks if she tries to run off to the farm next door. Tip we learned, she tries to run off, the whistle brand collar sends a text to our phones at about 400 ft, this marsboy collar will still easily reach to call her back with tone or vibrate function. Before if she ran off she could get a mile or more away and this marsboy wouldn’t reach ( it’s not supposed to work that far ) . Since we were able to always catch her trying to run off , she has given up. We bought the Whistle here on amazon too ( about $79 plus a monthly fee of $9 ) I purchased a second marsboy collar last week just Incase the old one quits ( over a year old - daily use - and so far still going strong )

This collar is a winner, hands down!
Okay, maybe the Marsboy hand held piece is a little larger than other models of a similar price range -- but it's SO intuitive to use. I was completely frustrated with my other purchase (high ratings on Amazon, for some reason), as it toggled way too easily between dogs (I only have one dog, but the device allowed for two) and I often found myself trying to use the transmitter to no effect because it had slid over to command of hypothetical device #2 -- on the Marsboy it's very clear which collar (and it goes up to nine if you have a pack) you are commanding and you would not easily / accidentally change settings. And on my other purchase you had to first choose a "mode" then issue the transmission, but on the Marsboy you simply press the beep button, the vibrate button, or the shock button, i.e. one press, not a two-stage process. Next, all buttons on my previous purchase were soft and easily pressed by accident -- not so on the Marsboy where each has a satisfying click. Last, I had occasionally (luckily just in beep mode) had my old transmitter in my pocket and leaned over in such a way that it toggled the button and panicked my dog without my intention -- you can protect yourself from ever making such a mistake (or worse!) with the Marsboy because you can actually turn the transmitter OFF. Drop it, smoosh it in your pants pocket, there will be no mistaken transmissions. I don't think I'll ever need another, but might buy a second Marsboy right now before they all run out just in case!

Great product
The training collar is an excellent dog training collar. It does not make my dog uncomfortable. And it makes training easier even in the long range. It is easy to manipulate when I used it the first time. It is worthy of this price. I would like to recommend this training collar to others.

DOES NOT WORK - RETURNING IT - The charger does not thread onto the collar
The collar can't be threaded onto the charging device. The collar delivered looks NOTHING like what is on this picture. There is no way to make this item work. Returning it

stayed charged for only an hour
The collar would only stay charged for an hour. The product is useless at that point. When ever I need to use it or rely on it the collar is dead and won't work and then I end up chasing my dog. Not worth the hassle.
