Fits my Honda Pilot 2018, install not difficult with some tools
Installed on the 2018 Pilot in about 1 hour. I'd recommend getting the plastic trim tools (about $7) to help. They aren't too expensive and I can probably find other uses for them later. Instructions are not too detailed.Having done it now, I can say it is best to start the process of removing the roof rail trim at the front of the car. Pop off the little cover on the front piece to access the bolt. Remove it with a ratchet. Then it will come off and disconnect from the the longer rail piece behind. Use pry tools to help disengage it from the plastic tabs. No need to remove the rear section of trim that goes into the hatch area. I was able to just pull the pieces apart. To cut the trim to size, I used a jig saw with a metal blade. Very easy. A hack saw will work but it will take longer and give you a workout (I tried that for my first cut then moved to the jig saw instead. You only need to cut out about 1" of rail at each bolt. I placed the rail next to the new bolts and used blue painters tape to indicate the cut area, cutting through the tape after marking it.The bolts provided are a pretty tight fit , but I think that is be design so they will not loosen. Be careful with the wrench so as to not scratch your roof. Go slowly, and perhaps put some blue tape down in case the wrench slips so you do not scratch the metal. I did not put the bolts all the way down as they just would not go any further, but they were tight and not going anywhere, and when I put the roof rail brackets on, it was fine. There does seem to be a few bolts on the roof you can attach to, if you switch the plastic clips around, think about that as you determine where to install the rails as it will add or decrease a few inches between the rails. Maybe not a big deal, unless you have some sort of roof attachment already that has a specific distance it expects between the rails.Other than that pretty straight forward and easy. I think they look great, save you about $800 vs. the Honda install.

Thank you Brightlines!!
Awesome. That’s all I can say. These roof racks are awesome! My 2016 Pilot EXL didn’t come with roof rails. In pricing them out they were going to be close to $400 for just the roof rails and then another $100 for the crossbars, and those were for after market ones from China. The OEMs were significantly more. I searched quite a bit and then found these Brightlines on Amazon for under $200 and decided to give them a try for my surf trip with my buddies. We were going to have to load the boards on top of the roof and I didn’t want to use the soft straps. I’ve had one mishap with softstraps before where my board flew off the on the freeway and I don’t trust them anymore.Let me cut to the chase, these look amazing. I do like the flush and finished look of the factory bars and rails but they also look incredibly generic. Additionally even the factory bars are connected to plastic rails. The OEM rails are nothing but plastic even if the cross bars are aluminum. I was afraid with a couple longboards on top acting as a foil there might be too much pressure UPWARDS and pulling the boards, along with the rails, straight up and off the roof. You’re not going to run into that problem with these racks. All of the mounting hardware is solid steel. While the caps covering everything is plastic, that’s just cosmetic. The actual harnesses to the roof and the bars themselves are solid steel and aluminum respectively. Attaching the racks is actually the easy part, while the more difficult part is removing the molding without breaking all the pins that attach out to the roof. You’re supposed to cut the molding into three sections but instead I ended up drilling, and then filing the holes, to fit the bolt through. The rack is so much more solid than even the factory equipment and actually looks better to me-more rugged.Love these racks and can’t say enough good things about them.

Affordable, functional, needed some tweaking...
The package was well-packed, no damage in shipping. The product was in good overall condition. All parts were included. The instructions aren't the best, but come on-it's a simple installation procedure that doesn't require a lot of instruction. When inspecting the rails, I removed the bottom covers and found they could not be fully installed, no matter how much force I exerted. A quick review of the parts indicated that the covers are just a hair too big to fit in the end caps. I had to trim the flashing in order to get all 4 covers to fit inside the end caps. I also found some stress was caused to the retainer prongs when they were assembled-but they didn't seem weakened, just discolored.I measured the placement on the roof and marked it with a pencil to tighten up while on the ground. Fiddling endlessly with the allen wrench on the roof seemed like it would be way more trouble than it was worth. Once that was complete and the covers snapped on the endcaps, it's just 4 bolts per rail in the factory bolt holes. Well under an hour from start to finish.I'd like to give this 3.5 stars for some of the fit and finish issues I encountered, but since I can only give a 3 or 4, I will go for 4. Roughly $100 for some roof rails is a great deal compared to OEM-especially if you're like me and haul something on your roof once or twice per year.
